I am so sorry. The following poem is a favorite of mine, and I hope you will find comfort in it. I have posted it here on FR from time to time in threads devoted to people who have moved on "beyond the wall."

The Rose Beyond the Wall

Near a shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God's free light,
Watered and fed by the morning dew,
Shedding it's sweetness day and night.

As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,
Slowly rising to loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall
Through which there shone a beam of light.

Onward it crept with added strength
With never a thought of fear or pride,
It followed the light through the crevice's length
And unfolded itself on the other side.

The light, the dew, the broadening view
Were found the same as they were before,
And it lost itself in beauties new,
Breathing it's fragrance more and more.

Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
And make our courage faint and fall?
Nay! Let us faith and hope receive--
The rose still grows beyond the wall,

Scattering fragrance far and wide
Just as it did in days of yore,
Just as it did on the other side,
Just as it will forevermore.

May the Lord bless and keep our deep FRiend, kayak.

It has been a blessing to have made her cyberacquaintance and she will be missed.

Warmest wishes to kayak’s family and friends. May the Lord’s grace and comfort give you peace.

Prayers up!

Dinah

My the LORD comfort you and your family for your loss. The good news, of course, is that Kayak was a professing Christian and we should all be "... willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord".

Nonetheless, I know we all grieve the loss of loved ones and we miss them. Just keep your eyes on Jesus, and cling to HIS promises, and rest on the unmovable ROCK of Ages.

Revelations 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Poppyseed, I am so sorry. You’re not going to believe this but as I was dreaming (because my night is your day) all at once there was a heavenly choir singing “For All the Saints” and I was watching your mother’s entrance into heaven. When I woke up, I knew that Kay was gone. She will be missed here on earth. But thanks be to Jesus Christ, she is with Him now.

((((Poppyseed))))

I’m sorry hon.

I know when I really start to miss someone I love, I just ask Jesus to give them a hug for me. It helps.

poppyseed, and all of your family...

Please realize how many folks your Mom touched here thru FR. Her life, goodness and faith will be remembered for years by us. It's a kind of miracle that that was possible!

Many, many condolences to you and yours
