tougher penalties for cabdrivers who refuse service to travelers carrying alcohol Has anyone checked their gas tanks??? How many of those protesting are driving cabs full of gasohol or other ethanol blends? Perhaps the (very green) citizens of the Twin Cities should mandate and loudly publicize, as an allegedly antipollution measure, that all taxis under their jurisdiction fill up with ethanol blended fuel. Those unwilling to drive such vehicles can find other work. Those willing to drive such can't complain about a passenger carrying quarts when they're carrying gallons.

The Metropolitan Airports Commission voted to suspend a driver’s airport taxi license for 30 days for the first offense and revoke it for two years for a second offense. The new penalties take effect May 11.
Just what would make you happy? If they took them out and shot em?

We need to say no, but we also need remove the victim status they have falsely assumed so as to claim moral superiority. Don’t say it in a way that still lets them claim it, say it in a way that puts US ahead. Mandating gasohol may be the wrong tactic, although it offers the extra advantages of a lib civil war, but the gasohol angle shouldn’t be ignored. So far it has been. I’ve not seen anyone here or elsewhere on the web discuss it. If there were any real reporters in the Twin Cities it would seem a natural angle to investigate. Determine what fuel they use then whenever a gasohol user pleads “Islam” at one of their press conferences nail him with it. Remove their issue AND their credibility together.
