MIDDLE RIVER, Md. — A 2-year-old boy was severely burned Saturday after he went down the slide at an elementary school playground. Someone had broken into the school, stolen several bottles of industrial-strength drain cleaner and splashed it all over the playground equipment, authorities said.
Peyton Duschl was scheduled for surgery Sunday morning and likely will be hospitalized for several weeks, said Carol Duschl, the boy's mother.
"I just don't understand what would draw somebody to do something like that," Duschl told WMAR-TV. "What kind of sick joke is that?"
Peyton suffered second- and third-degree burns, mostly on his legs, from the cleaner, which contains a strong concentration of sulfuric acid, said Division Chief Michael Robinson of the Baltimore County Fire Department. No one else was injured.

There was a similar incident two day ago in Leander, Texas. That is a city about 30 miles northwest of Austin.
I never realised this would happen. I would never have thought that drain cleaner would cause harm if placed on a sliding board. It takes a real sick scumbag to think of something like this.
I wish the child a quick recovery but with skin grafts and other things I am sure he wil bepainfully laid up for a long time. The sick bastid who did this needs psychiatric help after the thorough and painful @sswhipping he should receive.

It would be nice to think that surveillance video might have captured the perp-scumbag for identification, prayers for that little child, curses for the subhuman POS who caused such suffering.
We had a slide in our area covered in rotten eggs. It was one of those tube ones that the kids slide through. Not as bad I know but this sort of thing has been happening for years; this was probably 10 years ago for us.
I can’t imagine what possesses an individual to do something like this to a little child. Savage.

This is really sick, somebody needs to take the b@$t@rd who did this behind the woodshed and give’m “three behind the ear.”
I cannot fathom the meaness someone has to willfully harm a child, much less a little 2 year old. Must be some really sick S.O.B. to do something this rotten to a little kid, and I hope they are caught and punished to the Nth degree. Prayers of support for this poor family, and I hope their little guy recovers fully and soon.

They should have video cameras watching the park. I’d imagine that the perps are probably teenagers. When they are caught they should be thrown in a pit of acid. Although with the psychotic justice system we have they probably will go to juvenille hall or get probation.
Two boys have been arrested and charged with criminal mischief after police say they spread acid all over Westwood Community Park last week. The 15 and 11 year old are accused of breaking into a storage room at the Westwood Community pool, stealing several containers of acid, and pouring it all over the playground and park adjacent to the pool. A two-year old girl suffered burns from the acid the two boys allegedly poured down the slide.
The boys surrendered to police on Tuesday and were released back to their parents yesterday. They are forbidden from going anywhere near a park or play ground. They must also have no contact with each other. The 15 year old is also under house arrest.

These young psychopaths need to have psychiatric evaluations and long term monitering in light of the Virginia pscychopath and what has been revealed of his mental history.
These little creeps’ actions were severe and malicious. It appears they are getting a slap on the wrist: they have to stay away from playgrounds and can’t see each other. What the heck?
