This looks to me to be an internet poll. Not really of any value if thats the case.
It is an internet poll, with the only restriction being that "You can vote only once per e-mail address. Multiple votes will be deleted." So it's certainly not scientific, and AFA.net's readership is hardly a cross-section of the electorate at all, or even a cross-section of Republican primary voters.
What this poll does, however, is refute some of the rumblings that social conservatives won't support Fred Thompson because he's been insufficiently forceful in his pro-life stance or that he hasn't made many public professions of his Christian faith.
The respondents in this poll are self-selected, but I think we can safely assume that they are, by and large, conservatives who weigh social issues heavily - a key constituency Thompson must win to be nominated. This poll indicates he has a viable chance of doing so.
