Jagger payout is in divorce top 10

Last Updated: 1:47am BST 14/04/2007

Jerry Hall has made the Top 10 in the Forbes magazine list of the most expensive celebrity divorces.

Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall: the 10th priciest celebrity divorce

She was awarded between £7.5 million and £12.5 million when she filed for divorce from Mick Jagger, after he fathered a Brazilian model's child.

The Rolling Stone, worth an estimated £162.5 million at the time according to the magazine, had challenged the legality of their Balinese wedding.

Despite the size of the settlement, Miss Hall only managed tenth place.

Top of the list was the pending settlement of Michael Jordan, the American basketball player, whose wife Juanita is hoping to walk away with £75 million. Sir Paul McCartney's divorce from Heather Mills will cost him around £30 million, according to the magazine, leaving him in sixth place.

Forbes magazine, renowned for its annual rich list, scoured press reports, interview transcripts, and court documents to research the estimated payouts.

The top 10 are:
1, Michael and Juanita Jordan, £75 million;
2, Neil Diamond and Marcia Murphey, £75 million;
3, Steven Spielberg and Amy Irving, £50 million;
4, Harrison Ford and Melissa Mathison, £42.5 million;
5, Kevin Costner and Cindy Silva, £40 million;
6, Paul McCartney and Heather Mills, £30 million;
7, James Cameron and Linda Hamilton, £25 million;
8, Michael and Diandra Douglas, £22.5 million.
9, Lionel and Diane Richie, £10 million;
10, Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall, between £7.5 million and £12.5 million.

The one that always got me was Harrison Ford and his first wife. She married him when they had nothing, and had two kids with him. As soon as he got famous he went and had an affair, and got divorced in 79.

I can’t see into relationships and don’t know what went on there, but it looks like someone was a rat.

Even with the exchange rate, I would have expected him to be worth more. Guess all those drugs over the years really added up.

She was awarded between £7.5 million and £12.5 million . . .

Enough to make a grown man cry, though perhaps not one with his net worth.

Even after all the numbers are in, Heather Mills will still have a leg up on the others.

And they still never learn that these women are ALWAYS after the money.

Be single, be free, keep your cash.

She’s either on her knees or Mick is standing on a chair.

ba da bing

I presume Paul got approval for the divorce from Linda McCartney just like he did via a seance for the marriage. I would sure like to see that video clip.

Wow — £7.5! Compared to the rest of the guys on the list, he purchased himself a darn inexpensive ex-wife!

LOL I didn’t know about that!

He should have read the book “Predatory Female”.

Or maybe he could write a sequel “Predatory Copies of Late Wives”.

I’m surprised Heather Mills only got 30. Not bad for four years’ work, though.
