Is it CBS that fired Imus for (gasp!) using the word “ho”? Does anyone know if some part CBS makes scads of money selling HipHop records where black “artists” use the same word thirty times in a song? I would love to be able to document this, if true, if anyone can.

A couple of quick notes for terrymoran-
“The three young men who she accused are truly innocent of the charges brought against them...”
Refrain from using sentences like this. You have no idea what the terms “innocence” or “guilt” really mean, nor do you want to know. It just throws off the whole essence of your diatribe (and if you have to ask someone else what the terms mean, it’s just not worth it...)
“As students of Duke University or other elite institutions, these young men will get on with their privileged lives.”
Ahh...that’s more like it (...a-hole)

They were part of a team that collected $800 to purchase the time of two strippers. I thought they were 'exotic dancers.'

That is dumb. Is the author implying that because (i) they engaged in immoral behavior the conspiratorial prosecutorial misconduct was not so inappropriate and (ii) because others have been unjustly prosecuted, we shouldn't sympathize with them?
(ii) is especially stupid. Should we not feel sorry for a rape, murder, etc. victim because others have been victimized as well?

let us also remember a few other things:
They were part of a team that collected $800 to purchase the time of two strippers.
And? Wow, guys in college want to see strippers, stop the presses.
Their team specifically requested at least one white stripper.
Why is this a problem for Mr. Moran - "at least" implies that these guys didn't ask for an all-white stripper team, and I fail to see the problem even if they did. Different guys have different tastes. I assume that Mr. Moran probably has his own preferences in women as well.
During the incident, racial epithets were hurled at the strippers.
Why is Terry Moran stating this as fact? Was he there? Apparently the only person who claimed this happened was the accuser who also claimed - falsely - that she was raped.
Colin Finnerty was charged with assault in Washington, DC, in 2005.
Well, that certainly justifies being falsely accused in 2006 of rape and assault, suspended from college, paying attorney fees to defend against a clearly delusional prosecutor, and facing the possibility of doing serious jail time for a crime he didn't commit.

So it’s racist to ask for a white stripper? You can’t specify what sort of stripper you find most attractive? What if you ask for a brunette — is that OK?
I married a white woman. Am I a racist? I think so.
I think this Terry dude is a retard, too, so I think I am also a jerk.

they hired strippers...and the writer is ticked because they had the audacity to request a white stripper? They would have been wrong if they had requested a black stripper also. Because then they would be the well-to-do racist white boys.

Shocking, even from a liberal. I hope he’s never subjected to the kind of ‘justice’ he is advocating.

they hired strippers...and the writer is ticked because they had the audacity to request a white stripper? How dare they deny a hard-working single black mother the chance to support herself!
Or is it "damn them for perpetuating the master/slave paradigm!?"

They were part of a team that collected $800 to purchase the time of two strippers. $800 divided by a team of over 40 members is less than $20 a piece. Those lacrosse players were simply swimming in money. /sarc

I suppose Terry Moran lives a life of uprightness and virtue and has never partied in his life or had a glass of anything alcoholic. Or hired strippers
