Imus not a crackpot?

Watching Imus was like talking to an ignorant grouch with a bad hangover.

I could never have said it better! I lasted about five minutes many years ago, and have never listened since!

95% of Imus' show is pretty much as you've described. What makes it so entertaining is that the remaining 5% can be absolutely hysterical.

If you have about 15 minutes of time, go on YouTube.com and do a search on the terms "Imus" and "Ray Nagin." There are 3 videos there of Imus program director Bernard McGuirk calling into Imus' radio show as "New Orleans mayor C. Ray Nagin," and they are some of the best -- (but warning: foulest) -- on-air skits you'll ever hear on the radio.
