Well yes, but they were right. Imus was wrong.

There is a BIG difference with Limbaugh. If any of his advertisers leave him hanging, his listeners will leave the advertiser hanging. ESPN’s Sunday morning NFL show is still feeling it.

As Coulter pointed out, famous is fair game and we should all celebrate good funny insults about people in the news. Ordinary people shouldn’t be insulted.

You can get away with a lot more on radio than TV.

I think we should not inhibit free speech in America. Let the marketplace decide.

The real race-baiters in this story are Sharpton, Jackson, and the organization of black journalists.

The overwhelming hypocrisy of MSNBC, David Gregory, Anna Marie Cox, et al is breathtaking.

Imus not a crackpot?

Watching Imus was like talking to an ignorant grouch with a bad hangover.

“Once someone is identified as beyond the pale, which is how Coulter and Limbaugh are identified, nobody ever takes anything they say all that seriously,” Levinson said.

It would be easy for Imus to salvage his career. All he needs to do is call Condoleezza Rice a nappy-headed ho. That would be just fine.

It’s not like we would do it to Air America... if it were a viable station that is.

Shall I pull up the lib files? I can even go one better and pull up their representatives files? They don’t want to go there.

Fairness Doctrine redux.

Democrats, the party of free speech.

Sooner or later, you gotta figure that the Stalinists would not be satisfied with throwing one of their own overboard, and letting Rush and the rest off scott free. Unfortunately for them, Rush does not need the MSM, in fact he makes a living spanking them every day.

Sharpton and his ilk simply have no leverage over Limbaugh, so Sharpton cannot force Rush to pimp his ride the way he can the MSM.

"...said Limbaugh and Ann Coulter were "already identified as crackpots" while Imus was more influential with the mainstream."

20,000,000 listeners vs. 300,000 listeners. Who's more mainstream again?

Don Imus... was just a liberal racist. That's who liberals are. The outrage over him would be funny if it wasn't so hypocritical.

Air America failed and now Imus is gone too. It’s only logical that they would now demand that Conservatives be driven from the air as well and they’ll make up offenses if they have to. Heck, the quote they took from Glen Beck is only half of what he actually said. Beck fell all over himself trying to be polite about the asking Obama about the perception of Islam in the eyes of his listeners but Media Matters only printed the part that fit their definition of racist. Liberals are truly pathetic.

This is NOT about Free Speech.

If Imus wants to join the Klan, not one would stop him.

He wants to shave his head and become a skin head, it is his right.

However, MSNBC and WFAN are NOT required by constitution to employ Hate-Mongers and Racists.

Imus showed his true racist colors and he should lost his job. Its a shame WFAN/CBS have not fired him yet.

If Imus was infact a conservative talk show host, he would have been banned from the WFAN premises the day he opened his racist mouth.

Rush Limbaugh, in January called Barack Obama, whose father was from Kenya and his white mother is from Kansas, a “halfrican American.”

And CNN host Glenn Beck, during an interview with Muslim congressman Keith Ellison, said, “Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies.”

In context there is absolutely nothing wrong with the above quotes. Looks like libs are trying to make it a conservative issue.
