The best adaptation of this story is not Blade Runner but Network. Howard Beal’s “humanoids” are Philip K. Dick’s androids.

I will guarantee you this; "Next" will be another Hollywood Bush basher, because how it could be adapted to the WOT.
Also, I wonder if "The Golden Man" actually (uncredited) inspired the "X-men" series.
