HER name is Crystal Gail Man gum. She is the woman who falsely accused three Duke University students of rape. Yesterday, the attorney general of North Carolina came forward and flatly declared the three young men "innocent of these charges." That means their accuser is a liar. Her name is Crystal Gail Mangum. It is the policy of the news media not to publish the names of rape accusers on the grounds that they should not have to fear public shame for coming forward with word of a horrifying personal violation. That is a noble policy. But it needs a codicil. The codicil is that if a rape accuser is revealed as a liar, her name should be spoken loudly and often - as loudly and often as the names of those whom she falsely accused have been over the past year. Her name is Crystal Gail Mangum. She must be denied anonymity because she makes a mockery of the very policy of granting anonymity to rape accusers. We do not publish their names so that they will not fear public exposure. But people who are tempted to do the monstrous thing Mangum did should fear public exposure.

The problem with falsely accusing someone of rape, especially on this scale is that what if she winds up actually suffering rape sometime in the future? Will anyone believe her or will it be considered a matter of Crying Wolf?
It’s not a pretty thing to consider, I admit but still it’s worth noting.
She was nothing more than a tool for the Liberal District Attny to win his election. He was the one who should have immediately dropped this case rather than try to make a name for himself and persecute these young men. He is the liar!

White guilt for past sins has plugged the justice hole.
Many years ago, I was falsely accused of causing a woman to have an auto accident. Her written report was that, “I ran her car off the road, and she injured her knee.”
She was black and worked as a secretary for a black lawyer. I am white. I was in total disbelief when I received a letter, written on a lawyer’s letterhead, that I was responsible for her “accident.” I immediately called my insurance company and they investigated.
A rep from my insurance company came to my house and told me where it occurred. It brought back a memory from a month or so before. He recorded my explanation....
I was stopped at a red light at an intersection. I proceeded straight when the light turned green, however I proceeded slowly since there was a car, from the right, making a right turn (on red) into my path. No big deal...Now traffic was moving along on the 30 mph street. There was a navy or black car behind me blowing the horn incessantly. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw the driver’s arms waving....horn still blowing. I remember wondering what they were trying tell me...that one of my tires was flat? ...it didn’t feel like it... ....my coat belt was caught in the door and dragging on the ground?
Well after taking my statement, my insurance agent told me not to worry....that she was LATE for work that day, and that I wasn’t moving fast enough through the intersection for her. He said it was a case of her “working for a lawyer and knowing too much.”
Obviously, she NEVER ran off the road, as the letter stated, since she was following me the entire time waving her arms and blowing the horn. The office, where she worked, was not far from that intersection....perhaps 1/4 mile, if that.
Scarey, isn’t it? But I never heard another thing about it once the agent left my house.
“I think she will be found face down in a ditch.”
And “whitey” will be blamed.....
She looks like a Muppet. ;)
“While at it, they might also try all those claiming “alien abduction.”’
Be careful defending this serial predator, or you’ll fall all the way over backwards and bang your head, possibly inducing false memories of being sodomized by the board of Proctor and Gamble. As to your analogy, those claiming alien abduction aren’t filing criminal complaints.
As you stated, the "police Chief that didn't bark."
She may well be an informant who meets regularly with some cop who is her handler. It may be a condition to avoid prosecution on some other matter.

OMG! Ugh!
WHAT OTHER ITEMS have those same MsM and MsP outlets SPIKED?...
What other stories have these "journalists" kept FROM THE PUBLIC?..
What other information has these places sat on as a 5th column..
HOW did they get so organized toward the same end.. good propaganda..
The NYT’s Duff Wilson should be shamed, too:

CNN’s Wolfie said yesterday that they would not show her face. Never noticed they had any qualms about broadcasting the Duke VICTIMS.
:)
I never quite understood this tack, either. I remember back to 1969 when I was a grad student at Ohio State. I had an afternoon appointment with my advisor and, as I walked up the steps to Haggarty Hall, a young Black who was standing at the door, grabbed me by the shirt and threw me down the stairs.
As I bumped my way to the bottom, I heard him scream: "That's for holding me in slavery for 150 years!"
I commented that he looked very young for his age. He seemed to resent my comment. But then, I wasn't real happy with what he had just done, either.
I don't buy into any kind of guilt trip for things that happened in the past. I'm not saying they're right, but learn from it, live with it, and move on. Playing the race card today and trying to make me feel guilty about it just isn't going to work with me.
I read that Precious STILL wants to prosecute. Words fail....
” I don’t buy into any kind of guilt trip for things that happened in the past....”
...and still you felt it necessary to capitalize ‘Black.’ Why is that?
Al's a very, very bad joke, especially as a role model for the very group he supposed to be helping. Jesse's just as bad. They play to the emotions because, if there was reasoned discourse on their subjects, they'd be out of business.
