The comments are all 10 or more years old.
Please tell us who you are FOR. It is easy to be against someone. To be for someone requires logical determination of the best out of a field.

“Helen Giuliani said of her son: “He only became a Republican after he began to get all these jobs from them. He’s definitely not a conservative Republican. He thinks he is, but he isn’t””
If anyone knew that Rudy was a liberal it surely would be his momma. I don’t think she has any reason to lie about this—do you?

“Conservatives do not vote for liberals!
Conservatives do not promote liberal candidates.
Conservatives will fight as long as it takes.
In otherwards we aren’t going to shut up and go away.”
What you said was so good I just had to post it again! ;^)

An aside if you will, please?
What is the Etymology of your screen name?

The comments are all 10 or more years old.Y'all really need to make up your mind. On one hand, Rudy is the model of long-term consistency of views. But when inconvenient quotes by Rudy are dredged up by his opponents, y'all turn on a time and try to discredit them because they are old.
Which one is it?
Please tell us who you are FOR.
Check my tagline.
It is easy to be against someone. To be for someone requires logical determination of the best out of a field.
I've already done that.
I've also determined that Rudy would be an unmitigated disaster for both the GOP if nominated and for the country if elected. So I will counter the Rudy-booster spin machine every chance I get.

I have comments on his liberalism going all the way up through this month.
It establishes a pattern of liberalism - that why the thread is about him being a “lifelong liberal”.
As far as who to be for - once we get the liberals out of contention for the nomination, then we can pick from the best CONSERVATIVE candidate to represent the GOP.

I am FOR Rudy in how he deals with terrorists.
What terrorists has Rudy dealt with beyond his response on 9/11?
The 1995 Yasser Arafat incident, the $10M check given back to that smarmy sheik, the refusing to attend the Castro function, The standing up to the obscene depictions of Mary with the elephant poo; the list goes on.
Any municipal city manager of Podunkville, Anywhere USA could have made those same decisions without any difficulty whatsoever.
To sum up:
NO foreign policy experience.
NO military experience.
NO elected position except for Mayor of NYC.
You want a reason to be 'for' someone? Better keep on looking.

From a march 30, 2007 interview done with kutv in salt lake city utah (video at link)
Some good excerpts:
Giuliani: You never speak ill of any Republican. We got a big we got a big challenge ahead of us next year in making sure a Democrat stays out of the White House. And we should all make our own points, we should all argue very vigorously for ourselves, but we shouldnt criticize anybody else.
(I wonder why he wouldn’t want anyone to speak ill of him....gee, I really wonder)
Reporter: It was mentioned that some people consider you liberal on the issues. Youre pro-choice. Youve made no bones about that. Is abortion the taking of a human life?
Giuliani: The way I view abortion: Abortion is wrong. I would Id advise someone not to have an abortion. I would urge someone to have an adoption rather than an abortion. But my view of the Constitution is that you have to leave that ultimate choice to a person, to an individual, and that you cannot put them in jail for it. So what I did as mayor of New York City was, I increased significantly the number of adoptions, and the number of abortions went down. And I would appoint judges who are strict constructionists, who would try to construe the Constitution based on what it means, not what they would like it to mean.

Giuliani: "...So what I did as mayor of New York City was, I increased significantly the number of adoptions, and the number of abortions went down..."
What Rudy conveniently leaves out is that even with the 'number of adoptions going up, and abortions going down', New York City remained the one locale with the highest number of abortions anywhere in America.
I wonder why he didn't mention that?

Rudy's 26%: $14 million
Romney's 3%: $23 million
The smell of fear in the Rudy camp from Fred polling 14% without raising a dime:

Whew! I was getting worried! It had been at least 3 minutes since the last anti-Rudy post. I suspected foul play, especially since it's been at least 10 minutes since the last anti-Romney post, and I'm having a hard time finding any anti-McCain posts today. Something is definitely amiss. But thankfully, you perservered, and in the fine -- albeit fairly new -- tradition of Freepers to apparently campaign against candidates instead of for someone they support, got this message through! Here you go:
The Genuine Conservative Candidate
^ This might be better titled "A Genuine Conservative Candidate," but it's a good positive plug anyway.
