Like I said, this could have been nipped in the bud, but wasn’t. The station manager and the station’s lawyers also bear responsibility - they approved this operation and established the parameters for it.

We can say that the hospital staff were on their toes. The question is, will they remain as vigilant months from now. Think of how lax people have become since 11 September 2001. I, personally, have a suspicious mind and tend to report unattended bags and packages when I see them in odd places. Also, when people wander into the office wing of my workplace, I ask, “May I help you?” (the polite way of saying “The hell are you and why are you here?”).
