Hillary Won't Do Fox Debate Either
The Politico (via Dridge) ^ | April 09, 2007 | Ben Smith

Posted on 04/09/2007 7:51:07 PM PDT by blogblogginaway

The third shoe drops: Hillary's not doing the Fox News/CBC Debate either.

Clinton spokesman Blake Zeff emails, "We're going to participate in the DNC-sanctioned debates only. We've previously committed to participating in the SC and Tavis Smiley debates."

No word yet from Kucinich and Gravel, or the other campaigns, or from Fox, which could presumably do an empty podium hour and confirm to its viewers that Democrats are, in fact, the cowards it's often portrayed them as. Sounds win-win to me.

If anyone is paying attention, should the Democrats come to power the "Fairness" doctrine will return to be ruthlessly applied to talk radio and FoxNews or anything else they can set their cloven hooves on.

The Fairness Doctrine is definitely something nobody wants, but honestly, the toothpaste is already out on the tube with this issue. They could bring back the FD, and the internet and Sarellite radio are still viable options. The dems want to marginalize FNC as much as possible and discredit them the way they did back in the 90's. Remember when FNC could never get an interview with the Clintons, but CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC always seemed to manage to do that.

I also remember during that time how FoxNews grew and grew.

Hillary would regulate the net too if she could.

Hitlery is the dumbest women when it comes to thinking on her feet and she won’t do a FOX debate because she fears not getting the questions ahead of time, something she can do with anyone else.

Cancel the debates entirely. Who cares what they are gonna lie to us about. Anyone that wants to know their stand can find it out. If they won’t appear on Fox I refuse to watch the debate.

No, that will just give the left more excuses. Let Fox have the debates with empty chairs (or as advertising guy suggested [do a Timmah Russert on them.......have a cardboard cutout of those not there, ask a question and answer it with headlines and soundbites...........an example: Hillary]) for each of the democrat candidates.

Let the moderator ask a question of the Republican candidate and have a chance to answer. Then pan the camera to the empty chair or cardboard cutout and say "The democrat candidate has no comment", or have a soundbite that conflicts with the question.

Two of these three have a history of wanting the questions in advance. Wonder if that same request was made of Fox and turned down.

I thought about that yesterday, especially hillary. They can't take the heat of unexpected questions. It's like they need a script that was written for them by the DBM. This is what happened to X-42 when Chris Wallace had him on FNS and he thumped his finger into Chris' legs and said, "Now that you've done your Conservative hit job on me......"

These people are so scared that their agenda will be exposed by Fox. They are used to getting the lovey dovey treatment by Tim Russert, Bob Schieffer, George Stephanopoulos and the other DBM talking heads.

Once Fred Thompson gets the nod, FNC should just put him on a stage with a Hillary blow up doll, thighs and all and have a pull string on the doll that a gaffer pulls for canned responses:

Here is the model for the "blow-up" doll.

It will take a lot of blowing to get those thighs and calves up to full size.

I'd love to have the cutouts there and have

Sen. Clinton said, "Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good"

comment for each question asked about raising taxes, funding for any congressional project, etc.

Hillary Clinton: "We're Going to Take Things Away From You on Behalf of the Common Good"

I just got this hillary joke from an email buddy.

Subject: Insulted horse

A man walked into a bar in Louisville, Kentucky and ordered a drink. While he was sitting at the bar watching T.V., one of Hillary’s political ads came on. After it went off, he stood up and announced to everyone, “Hillary is a horse’s ass!”

The bartender reached under the bar and brought out an oak club about 18 inches long and hit the man square across the head, knocking him off his stool and onto the floor.

After a minute or two, the man got up, straightened himself up and said to the bartender, “I’m sorry. I didn’t know this was Hillary country.”

“It’s not!” replied the bartender. “This is horse country”.

I don’t know who to contact at Fox. I’d bet there are some FReepers who could find an answer.

What this does from the reality standpoint is show that Democrats will talk to terrorists but not to FOX.

What the Democrats thinks this sets up is more Fox bashing. They will say “SEE! Fox only caters to the right and the left doesn’t even have a voice”

Like many other strategies employed by the left, this one is going to backfire.

It sounds like Hillary already had a prior engagement. Can they change the date? Fox should at least do that. I look forward to seeing this debate.
