Vote for ESCR or you are against HOPE!, the new dem magic word.
There is a LIVE thread for that Newt/carry debate...and I looked at the posts..
According to what was posted...Newt is LOSING the debate...sheesh
That was my impression. He accepted the premise so it was over at the beginning.
Exactly.
For Newt to lose a debate with that nitwit carry, he should be laughed out of Washington.
My mouth is hanging open.
Does no one see the idiocy in believing that cures cannot be found unless the federal government of the United States spends taxpayer money. No one else can do research, no one else can fund it. Just the American taxpayer, regardless of any objections they may have to creating life for the purpose of experimentation.
Woo Hoo .. alright Sen. Bennett !
Also .. why are you libs against medical testing on animals .. but all for medical testing on babies??
Good grief ....Specter wants MARCHES???
Specter wants his name on the CDC building is what he wants.
Specter can bite me!! He wants people to march for the DEATH of babies fgs!!
You are right...SHE and Pelosi and Hillary and BABS have rich, rich, rich husbands...they could finance a whole pharmaceutical research facility.
But, NOOOOOOOOo they want taxpayers who don’t believe in killing fetuses to have to PAY for it!!!
Specter can’t handle the fact that one day he will die ... he wants to live forever
Well....tough.
My granddaughter has diabetes...and the like to throw diabetics in their argument for killing embryos...but, NO ONE in our family wants that...especially my granddaughter, I am sure.
embryo research is a very dangerous road to being going down
Yes it is...and I think that there are way too many other sources of stem cells that do not require using embryos.
I wish it was illegal....I think the people that are pushing this bill should be grateful that it isn’t totally illegal.
To be going after ALL taxpayer’s money is digusting.
I saw a little bit of Norm Coleman earlier.
He and Sen. Isaakson have co-sponsored an alternate bill...SR.40 (I think).
I heard Sen. Coburn speak on it...their bill would allow for stem cells from each person to use their OWN stem cells.
Coburn pointed out that any time a “cure” would be made from the embryonic stem cells of anyone...the “patient” would be required to take anti-rejection drugs for their whole lives...just like transplant patients do now..
But, if we use our own cells...we don’t.
THAT isn’t going to answer the show problem...but I THINK there may be a vote this afternoon on the Coleman/Issackson bill..
I have to admit to being in and out on the Senate coverage..so I may be wrong about a vote...AND about the bill (there could be more aspects I missed hearing about).
The President is willing to sign Isakson’s bill and will veto the other one, so if they want research to proceed, they would be well advised to vote for Isakson’s offering.
Thank you...you are so much better at keeping up than I am.
BTW...did you hear what Jim Angle said on Brit’s show about Lantos and Pelosi??
They had applied for visas to go to IRAN..and were turned down..but, he said regardless of what Pres. Bush has said, he and Pelosi would go tomorrow..if they got the visas!!
What makes me think those visas will NOT be granted???
These idiots are gonna get us all killed!
No, I got a phone call and missed it.
That hideous woman is in way over her head and Lantos must simply have gone insane. A holocaust survivor. I just can’t believe it.
I could be wrong .. but doesn't the country you are going to give the visas ??
You are right...IRAN turned them down.
That is why I said that NOW they will probably get them..because Nutjob will see the propaganda opportunity to have them over there shaking his hand and smiling their cheap smiles...UGH
You may not have seen this, but it’s a good video
