Power to the Pelosi - (MAJOR LEAGUE BARF ALERT)
Toronto Sun ^ | 4/8/07 | Eric Margolis

Posted on 04/08/2007 1:00:47 PM PDT by GeorgiaDawg32

President George Bush charges that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s trip this week to Syria was undermining U.S. foreign policy. He’s absolutely correct.

If ever there was an administration whose foreign policy needed undermining, it’s the Bush/Cheney duo. Speaker Pelosi, the third ranking government official, and a remarkably capable lady, is doing all Americans a service.

Man will be his own death — and it is this level of stupidity and total lack of common sense that will be the catalyst that will allow our total demise.

Even if the enemy is emboldened and Americans are killed in the process. After all...undermining Bush is the most important thing in the world; the left does not value the lives of American citizens enough to consider it a heavy price to pay.

There’s no way she can be successfully prosecuted but I think President Bush should issue a preemptive pardon to her. That should stick in her craw(or surgically reduced wattles).

Never have Israel and its neighbours been closer to peace.

They are?

But instead of backing this dramatic opening, Bush and Cheney are clearly preparing to launch an air war against Iran,

They are?

and have been urging Israel to attack Syria and Lebanon.

They are?

Wow, this guy needs to up his moonbat meds several CC's

So...what the hell are you doing except sitting in your comfortable chair? Have you written your Senators, Representatives, and the Justice Department? Have you demanded that they impeach that bitch! Pelosi has violated the Logan Act. Can you pick and choose which laws you will follow? Can you pick and choose which taxes you will pay? I know the Logan Act hasn't been used in 200 years. Well...I think it's about fuc$$$g time!

Americans can no longer rely on the no balls Senators or no balls Representatives to do what is right. They are all too afraid of the big bad media and loosing what little support they have. Little do they know it is what we are waiting for! Call their offices over and over and over, demand they uphold the Constitution as they were elected to do. Ask why you haven’t seen them on television voicing their anger at Pelosi’s actions. Ask why they haven't done anything, and don't take any bullsh$$ political answers. Yell, scream, holler, jump up and down until they listen! It is time to fight back.

It is time for all those Christians out there to quit turning the other cheek! “The meek will inherit the earth.” However, if Christians continue to sit back on their butts, what kind of earth will our children inherit? What will you tell your Grandchildren when they ask what you did to stop what’s happening? I live in a very rural community in very rural Kansas. No media, newspaper runs once a week, no television stations. However, I know a great many of you live in large metropolitan cities. Get to work!

I have written everyone I can think of. So call into every talk show, write editorials, and don't let up! Write President Bush and tell him it's time to use his bully pulpit to protect America and to tell Congress to get fuc#$$! He is the President and it’s about time to crawl out from under his desk and make as much noise as he can. Demand that he call for Speaker Pelosi’s resignation and prosecution. Hell, the RATS don’t hesitate for a minute to call for the resignation of everyone they can drag into the mud whether their guilty of anything at all. If we continue to sit back and do nothing, they will destroy America!

Sorry for the profanity, but I am fighting mad! GOD BLESS AMERICA (for as long as we can keep it)!

Eric Margolis is a creep.

Is he the Paleocon who laid out a strategy for the Arabs to cripple the U.S. so Pres. Bush could not do Operation Iraqi Freedom?

Also, is he also the Paleocon who says the Jews/Israelis have some sort of ethnic bomb (Is that a Jewish comedian who tells a bad joke)?

The republic’s founding fathers were deeply worried a future president might run amok or make himself an absolute ruler. The primary constitutional architecture of the U.S. government is designed to thwart such dangers through a brilliant system of checks and balances.

Look here you Canuk! First, you don't get to vote here so STFU! Kerry got whooped by almost 4 million votes! That's 4 large cities combined! Americans chose GWB to lead this country's foreign policy! Second, the US Constitution does not give Pelosi, a Representative of a frikin' measly District, the authority to conduct foreign policy! Third, if Pelosi wants to exercise her Constitutional authority then she needs to cut the funds to the war! But guess what you nosy neighbor to the north, she ain't doing that!

So get the frik' lost!

Well, it is Eric Margolis. It's evident from the article that he'd much prefer to lie about the Constitution than read it.

Congress was created as the premiere branch of government to express the voice of the American people. Its leaders have the duty and every legal right to intervene when they see the executive branch leading the nation over a cliff and repeatedly violating the Constitution.

Uh, no Congress is not the "premier" branch of government. Moreover, that document is quite specific about the division of responsibility within the U.S. government, and the Speaker of the House conducting her own foreign policy appears nowhere therein. That is not the mechanism Congress is afforded for "intervention" and anyone who has read Article II to its completion is aware of that.

Pelosi arrived in Damascus at a crucially important moment. The Arab League just unanimously reaffirmed its historic offer to Israel of full recognition and permanent peace in exchange for a withdrawal to Israel’s 1967 borders, sharing Jerusalem, and some kind of compensation or resettlement of 4.5 million Palestinian refugees. This is essentially the same plan proposed to Bush by the respected Iraq Study Group in Washington.

This offer is "historic" only in that it is old and has been rejected on multiple occasions. And that "respected" Iraq Study Group (1) barely dealt with the issue, and (2) was in its totality the same sort of partisan hack job that Pelosi's little jaunt to Damascus, i.e. dedicated to undercutting an administration illegally, immorally, and unconstitutionally.

And Margolis knows all this and prefers to lie about it. The only honest thing in the article is its opening:

President George Bush charges that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s trip this week to Syria was undermining U.S. foreign policy. He’s absolutely correct.

Yes, he is. And no, Eric, it isn't a good thing.

Surveying 26,000 respondents in 25 different nations, the study (that included Americans) found the dominant view was the U.S. is playing a “mainly negative” role in the world. Two thirds believed the U.S. military presence in the Mideast is stoking conflicts.

And the author is also an authority on the U.S. Constitution. . . .

. . . .so he shall be able to indicate in the umbras and penumbras of that famous Constitution precisely where we find that we are to chart our nation's course by the catty remarks of diners in Paris cafes or ink-stained fairies in Toronto.

The only “lasting and permanent peace” or “full recognition” offered to Israel would be if they pull back to their pre-1948 borders.
