Conservative parliamentarian Amir Hassankhani, a former member of the country's Revolutionary Guard and supporter of the president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, told the country's semi-official Fars news agency: "The arrest and release of the British sailors proved that if Iran's issues and demands are overlooked at the international level, the Islamic republic can create different challenges for the other side."

How do the Onion and other fine satire outlets manage to stay one step ahead of a reality that seems bound and determined to outrace them?

Of course they will try it again bucause they keep getting away with it.
It really makes Iran look strong and emboldens the islamic resistance when they kidnap people and there are no swift consequences.
I am so sick of stating the obvious here. How can our leadership be so totally oblivious to the entire problem posed by Iran? And worse yet, lack of actions over words has to make Iran giddy with excitement. They are defeating the great satan without direct military confrontation.

Could we get them to kidnap Queen Bee Nanacy, as long as she is over there and fairly close by?
I’d put up fifty cents toward her ransom....
But then somebody else would be putting up hundreds of thousands of dollars if the Iranians would KEEP her.

Doesn't "bouyant" sort of mean "to bounce?"
As in making the rubble bounce?

Buoyant Teheran warns of further kidnappingsBring it on. I think the first set of hostages was an opportunity to start the end game for the Iranian leadership but it was missed. I'm tired of this dance. Let's get on with it.

This Admiral Band is quoted as "I think, in the end, they were a credit to us, the way they dealt with the situation when they were said goodbye to by the president."
I think they not only said good-bye to the president Imanutjob but to any honor they held within. And this Admiral brags on this disgrace. I prefer America to stand alone rather than stand with anyone of Admiral Band's stance.

Buoyant Teheran warns of further kidnappings I propose sending auto navigation landing party boat versions of Q-Ships manned by these guys:

close to Iranian waters and having these guys:

ready and waiting to blow the Iranians to Kingdom Come two minutes after they cross into Iraqi waters.

Just look at the gloating jackals laugh and smile as the unfortunate female seaman is forced to express gratitude for her "forced vacation". How can a head of state stand in front of a prisoner and wish her well, after his guards informed her she had been left behind? Bush needs to destroy Iran and its infrastructure, and pay particular attention to this Xerxes mini-me.

Although imanutjob may not be able to respond, all the terrorists would understand that we are done playing, if we just did this on the jerk-wad leader's location...
Clue radical islam, we've got a lot more where that came from.
