Also, I think Tom Delay had an accurate assessment of Newt when he observed that Newt goes off in 9 directions at once and one never knows what he will be focusing on at any given time.
I’ve always thought that was one of Newt’s faults; he’s brilliant in so many ways, but he digresses constantly.
You know how I feel about the relative merits of watching blue water fishermen in action vs the usual talking heads!
I attended our church’s Easter Vigil too. It is better than Christmas for me to be part of the ceremony welcoming new adult members to the Church.
I think we are looking at a Clinton/Obama ticket - which will be really hard to beat - since so many voters nowadays seem to have the same attitude as American Idol voters.
I heard a LIB saying the other day that Nancy’s picture with the headscarf reminds him of the Dukakis moment in the tank with that stupid helmet on...LOL
Acccording to INTRADE - where people bet real money instead of gabby opinions - Thompson is now second behind Giuliani...
Republicans:
Giuliani - 29.8
Thompson - 21.6
McCain - 17.8
Romney - 16.9
Gingrich - 3.9
Dhimmicrats:
Clinton - 47.8
Obama - 31.5
Gore - 8.4
Edwards - 7.9
Richardson - 3.5
Olbies ego is beyond my wildest imagination. He knows all...about everything. Sickening. He friggin’ thinks he is Edward R. Murrow’s reincarnation, and has even stolen Murrow’s sign off. I can’t find words.....
I think Brit is like Bush to the extent that he has respect for the moderator of the show and doesn’t want to use his position to override that person.
Brit is a gentleman among morons.
My reference to Bush is about his having respect for the office of President and refusing to do anything to sully it.
I heard somewhere that Brit is thinking of a radio show. I wish he would stay on TV and that Fox would give him a daily news show to compete with the other 3. I think he would do fabulously well.
Well...surprise, surprise.
Arlen Specter is on CNN and he has gone AGAINST Bush’s plan in Iraq...and now he is against Bush’s veto of the Emer. Supplemental Bill!!!
It is ironic that you are going on and on about how liberl Fox News is (it is your opinion and I don’t have a quarrel with you)...
BUT, John Edwards has just bowed out of the 2nd debate that Fox News is doing with the CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCUS as co-sponsors..you can’t get much more liberal than the CBC.
Soooooo..if Fox News is so liberal, why are these candidates refusing to even show up for DEBATES??
Sam bought the Tribune, but to make his money good there he's also going to "buying" legislators and judges.
We have today a "tax" on cassette tapes, cd's, dvd's -- that "tax" gets paid to the some PRIVATE recording industry consortiums, because our legislators and courts have said so. That money, that hidden tax, is our DUE to the recording and entertainment industry because we'd use those blank media to copy their works. No matter that many CD's and cassettes we burn are of our own photo and video albums -- we still PAY "THEM" THEIR DUE.
(And our legislators get quite "lubricated" by that franchise, too.)
Comes Zell. Now what? Look at a general "tax" on any internet access, with the proceeds pay to a MSM consortium, Sam Zell, big member thereof.
**** UNLESS *** we stay vigilant, and push back against the thugs of IP.
Her father was a congressman and then a mayor. Her mother ruled the party in Baltimore. Everything went through Nancy, Sr. Nancy, Jr learned how to be tough from her mother’s example.
One of my college pals interned at ESPN when he was still there. Didn’t have too many kind words about him.
I know Edwards wants to appeal to the moonbats but to just cede the floor to Hillary and Obama makes him look less important.
