The public schools are moronic. I see no problem with an Easter bunny. I had Easter baskets and an Easter egg hunt after we came back from church services. It didn’t harm me or the holiday. I tended more to make my children’s Easter baskets filled with a small chocolate bunny , clothes & small toys. One of my very favorite memories is when the doorbell rang on Easter and I got to answer it and found all our Easter baskets sitting on the porch. Since I was the baby of the family I always got there 1st. I can remember peeking around for that rabbit too. I did the same for my children and tomorrow my 7 yr old will hear the doorbell, run for the door and find her basket. I just hope her brother is able to hide fast enough as she almost caught him last year.

Ah, my bad. I got second-hand info. I don’t have cable, so the re-runs I see are several seasons old!

Tonight the Wal-Mart cashier wished me a Happy Easter—it was very nice.

Exaggeration maybe, but look at what we have lost. No influence in public school. They can’t even talk about the bible, but they can make up anything they want that degrades the religious.Sex education is giving way who know what. No prayer in school. Roe vs. Wade. Winter Holiday. You can be fired for defending you faith. The media is constantly feeding subliminal messages that Christianity is the religion of hate. Its going to get a lot worse.

This lady perhaps would not approve of the use of that particular name for such a silly reason. Beatrix Potter

Society is also becoming alot dumber and clueless as well. The Easter Bunny, for the record, has it’s roots in Paganism and not Christianity. There’s implications of a Fertility Rite with the “bunny” that has nothing to do whatsoever with the Resurrection of Christ Jesus. So, if out ACLU/Leftist/Liberal brainwashed, undereducated school kids who decided on this had only known, they could have, instead embraced the Easter Bunny as a perfectly good way to further reject and blaspheme Christianity just like their previously named masters intend them to do.

Hmmmm... I had thought that the word “Easter” derived from the Babylonian “Ishtar”. Both seem related to some ancient rite of spring; rabbits and eggs both symbolizing fertility and new life.

Anyway, JESUS is LORD and HE is RISEN!

Since everyone seems scared to death of lawyers these days, someone should just inform the school that there may be copyright issues with the use of images/characters owned by the heirs of Beatrix Potter.

They may be better off using the generic creation of the Easter Bunny. The Bible isn’t copyrighted as are other faith based documents like the ones from the Mormons or Scientologists.

It’s just the first sneaky step towards eventually changing the Easter bunnies name to Mohammad bunnie.

The Easter bunny not only deposits eggs around the lawns, but random piles of smart pills as well. The petty little administrators of this school need to take a few.
