Eh?
PR folk have congressmen in the US House and they vote for the president.
They may participate in a party’s nominating a President, but Puerto Rico has ZERO votes in the Electoral College. Which also means they have ZERO Representatives in the House. There are 435 voting members in the House. Eleanor Holmes Norton or whatever her name is from DC gets to occasionally parade in front of the cameras, but technically she is a voice without a vote.
No, it means I have no ethno-centric allegance. I am an American that wishes all would follow the laws.
That would be nice, wouldn’t it. If these girls had been killed by your average run of the mill citizen, there would not be these two debates going on. I say two because the first issue is the status of this particular drunk driver, and the other issue is drunk driving itself. Seems like too many people are able to slip through the cracks and get back behind the wheel when they shouldn’t. I hope and pray that something positive comes out of this tradegy.
Of course they don't take driver's ed. That would require getting a learner's permit from the state government before they would be permitted to take the training. Most of them don't have a license or insurance.
PR is a self governing part of the US but IS NOT a state.
Perhaps I have read it wrong, you might check and correct me.
