The End of Inevitability (Hillary's Fundraising Woes!)
Newsweek ^ | April 16, 2007 | Richard Wolffe

April 16, 2007 issue - There's a turncoat inside Hillary Clinton's money machine. Over the past several years, Leonore Blitz has helped raise about $250,000 for Clinton's Senate races, and she signed up early to help the new presidential campaign. But in recent weeks the Manhattan marketing consultant has secretly attended finance meetings and fund-raisers for Clinton's archrival, Barack Obama. Under intense pressure from the Clinton team to pick sides, Blitz—who bundled more than $1 million for John Kerry in 2004—felt deeply conflicted. Clinton operatives have warned donors not to contribute to other campaigns, and put a price on disloyalty: early supporters will be valued and latecomers scorned. But now Blitz is coming out of the shadows, ready to test the rules. "I have been a lifelong advocate of women and minorities' participating and running for political office," she told NEWSWEEK last week. "Therefore, I'm supporting both Clinton and Obama."

Methinks someone is getting invited to an Easter egg hunt in Fort Marcy Park.

Maybe all campaigns do this, I don't know, but it sure sounds scary when it's the Witch.

Hillary will put the Witch’s curse on anyone who isnt on board. This woman goes for minorities and Women she says. I wonder how much she sent Michael Steele.

Methinks she is a typical Dumocrat. and would vote for a Shetland Pony if it ran on the Dumocrat ticket.

No, the clintons are notorious. Clinton got four or five reporters fired from their jobs for writing critically about him. He sicced the regulators and the courts on Bill Gates for not donating enough. He denied Murdoch slots for Fox news on the cable networks, and prevented him from buying a satellite communications deal. He also regularly used the IRS to get back at people, and he had the Secret Service arrest people who called him names.

Let’s not even get started on Fort Marcy Park or Ron Brown. Or FBI files, or the Travel Office.

Bush, on the other hand, can’t even manage to fire the clintonoids in his own administration. There’s such a thing as vicious, corrupt and criminal behavior, but there’s also such a thing as being too nice to corrupt enemies.

The Clintons are too nice to corrupt friends. Of course, most of their friends are corrupt.

I can't prove that Vince Foster or Ron Brown were murdered, although both deaths are awfully suspicious. In the latter case, more than 30 other people lost their lives in the plane crash, so if Brown's death was murder, it was mass murder.

There’s no question that Ron Brown had a round hole in the top of his head, and it was just about 0.45” in diameter. The original x-rays from the autopsy disappeared out of a locked safe, but one of the army investigators made a copy and it was posted on the internet, with a ruler at the bottom to indicate scale.

As I’m sure you know, there was a LOT of other suspicious stuff surrounding the “accident.”

History may record the 2008 election as one of our strangest.

On the Republican side, the front-runners are Rudy Giuliani and John McCain. John McCain has said horrible things about the party's base when he wanted to appeal to "outsiders" but now expects the support of that base because it's "his turn" for the nomination. If he runs, his people will try to tell the base that they must support him to get good judges, but he led the effort to ensure that President Bush not nominate good judges. Rudy Giuliani has liberal extremist views on issues like abortion and gun control and expects the base to support him because he's "authentic" in holding these liberal extremist views. If John McCain reached the general election, I have no idea what could happen. If Rudy Giuliani reaches the general election, he will lose because no Republican wins without the crossover votes of conservative "Reagan Democrats" who are willing to consider Republicans because Republicans typically don't stand for some of the things that Giuliani advocates.

On the Democrat side, the front-runners are Hillary Clinton, Barak Obama, and John Edwards. Hillary Clinton has only eight years in any kind of elective office, will always carry the taint of the many scandals that both Clintons created, and is a thoroughly unlikeable person. Barak Obama shares the same religious background as our nation's worst enemies right now, will have less than four years experience in elective office at the time of the election, and has no executive experience. John Edwards has only six years in office and no executive experience.

The fact that this group of lightweights are the most popular choices for our nation's highest office right now is a sad commentary on our nation's civic health. If I didn't know better, I'd think that neither party really wants to win the presidency next year.

Bill

Possibly, the party bosses don't want somebody to win that might not be controllable. Heavyweights typically aren't.

Maybe all campaigns do this, I don't know, but it sure sounds scary when it's the Witch.

I've heard stories that Huey Long would start his campaign by assembling business leaders and telling them how much it would cost to be a supporter if they gave that day, how much more it would be in a month, etc., and when the drop dead date was after which they were an enemy no matter how much they offered to give. Firm but fair, I suppose.

I saw the photo also, the hole in his head was round and about
.45 cal. I Thought bullet. Whether it was something else like a rivet or other airplane part was never explained.

I think you are correct and as much as I hate to say it, that ticket would be unbeatable at this time.

I think the only way to counteract that ticket would be for Cheney to resign for health reasons and be replaced by Rice. Run her for President. This trumps both Clinton and Obama.

Personally, I think this was the reason for the Libby charade. Dem’s wanted to give Cheney something to worry about so he felt that he needed to stay as VP until it was over. I think the dems did a good job of boxing him in. I also think this is why the dems continue to cook up these bogus witch hunts.

Yes, the hole in Ron Brown’s head was just about 45 caliber. You may also remember that the fellow who signaled the plane in committed “suicide” that weekend. Also that one of the stewardesses from the plane survived in apparently good health, but mysteriously died while being helicoptered to the hospital.

Also, every newspaper in America said that the weather was stormy, but the local weather reports said that it was clear.

Ron Brown had threatened the week before that if he went down, “he would take clinton down with him.”

Typical clintonoid orchestration.
