FIREBRAND Islamic convert Yvonne Ridley has accused Australians of being among the worst Muslim haters in the world.
As millions of Australians celebrated Easter, they were branded Islamophobes by the outspoken British woman.
She believes Australian attitudes to Islam are hardening faster than any other nation.
"I'm deeply shocked," Ms Ridley said.
"It's not what it was when I was last here three years ago.
"I've visited over 20 different countries in the last three years and Australia is the most shocking in terms of deterioration."
Ms Ridley, 48, will speak about Islamophobia today at a controversial Muslim conference at Melbourne University.
Thousands are expected to attend a series of lectures over the weekend.
Organisers laughed off suggestions the 1st Annual Australian Islamic Conference was staged over Easter to insult Christians.

Australia has the brains and the eyes to know that radical Islam demands the conversion or the death of every person in the free world. Too bad America doesn’t. There is an article in today’s Washingon Post, written by an Arab, describing in detail the true goal of Islam. The Headline refers to Pelosi, Islam loves her. Each and every American should read that article. I forwarded a copy of it to the President this morning. I so not expect it to make a difference in the WH.

I WONDER what would happen if I strolled in to St John’s Church in Lafayette Square opposite The White House and ripped up a few bibles.
Imagine the headlines if I took an aerosol can and sprayed in bright red paint the word JIHAD across the altar of the historic church in the US capital.
And I can just hear the outcry if I pitched up with a few Muslim brothers and sisters and began brewing a pot of tea over a gas burner in the nave after stubbing out a few cigarettes on the deep pile altar carpet.
I would be locked up and put in an orange jumpsuit faster than you could say Cuba.
And yet many Americans seem quite perplexed by the anger which erupted across the Muslim world last week following the publication of a magazine article which revealed US interrogators at Guantanamo Bay flushed a copy of the Holy Qur’an down a toilet.
I was not perplexed ... just a wee bit surprised it had taken this long for the news to have an impact.
Agents of the CIA, Homeland Security, FBI etc. have been ripping up and desecrating copies of the Qur’an as part of their ritual and sadistic abuse of Muslim prisoners for years.
And the US military have been abusing our faith, Qur’an, beliefs and mosques ever since 9/11 without any sort of great outpouring from any of us Muslims.
But when the former Pakistan cricketer Imran Khan waved an article from the American magazine Newsweek revealing the Qur’anic abuse in Guantanamo earlier this month all hell broke loose.
From Afghanistan, through Pakistan, across Indonesia, Nigeria and the Middle East brothers and sisters took to the streets and protested - some quietly, some violently and some loudly.
Hundreds were injured and several were killed as authorities on the ground clashed with protestors.
This, I felt, was some sort of a comeback for American journalism until shocked Newsweek executives began to put a distance between themselves and the story. Then an apology followed - gutless, or what?
Well, in the interests of good journalism, let’s put the record straight in the pages of Muslims Weekly, shall we?
That Newsweek story was true. And according to one former Guantanamo detainee from Britain - Martin Mubanga - the article was simply the tip of a Titanic-sized iceberg.
Not only had he heard of the ‘flushing incident’ he witnessed Qur’anic abuse firsthand when yobs in uniform stormed his cage and threw the Holy book on to the floor. He was even beaten up by them for protesting.
This was not a one off. From Cuba to Abu Ghraib, from Baghdad to Basra, Kabul to Kandahar there have been many cases of US military abusing Islam ... until now that is. Somehow, I don’t think they will dare do it again.
Thanks to the heroic actions of ordinary brothers and sisters across the globe I think they and the White House junta have finally got the message ... STOP ABUSING OUR FAITH.

The message is quite clear now - we Muslims have had enough of the disrespect shown towards us and our faith.
Now that we have shown our mettle over the desecration of the Qur’an isn’t it about time we began to rise up and march over the cold-blooded murder of our brothers and sisters in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Chechnya, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Kashmir, Indonesia, Sudan et al?
Well last week we had a glimpse, a rare insight of what we can achieve when we rise up as one.
Could this be the start of a new Islamic revolution? Last week a sleeping giant began to stir across the Muslim world and it scared the hell of out the imperialistic bully boys.
The great only seem great when they keep us on our knees.

I do have a deep seated, fully rational & justified extreme hatred for any SOB who wants to kill me & mine, for whatever reason...especially a satanic “religious” one.
