We need to pressure our Republican leaders to prosecute Ms. Polosi for violation of the Logan Act as per the WSJ article.
Agreed. Just don’t prosecute her right now.
She is the doing such a bang up job of exposing her foolishness.
If Newt was invited to address a foreign nation's legislature--an ally and a democracy--that is a far cry from sucking up to a communist like Ortega and a sponsor of terror in Assad.
The dictator of Syria has American and Jewish blood on his hands; and Pelosi is sucking up to him.
I think the differences between what she did and what Newt did are about as far apart as one can imagine.
RIGHT AFTER they prosecute Sandy Berger..
Unless we can somehow find a Republican with the backbone to stand up to the enemy there is no need to write them as they will do nothing and will act like deflated balloons as they are doing right now.
The only Republican that has a proven backbone is Rudy. As usual, they will sit by quietly ruining another apportunity to condemn the democrats. GWB included.
I agree with you. Any clue as to who would lead this charge? We need a Republican with a spine and some clout. Right now, I can’t think of one.
The Blue Dog Democrats are the ones to oust Pelosi Galore and that would have more traction than anything the Pubs could do...
Love your tagline, dead on.
That sounds like an updated Abbott and Costello bit:
Did someone violate the Logan Act before Pelosi?
Wright?
Who?
Wright.
Was he right?
Wrong.
Who was wrong?
Wright.
IMO, Pelosi is going to continue to make mistakes and expose herself as incompetent. Without our help. All by her little ole self.
Bless her heart.
AND Feinstein, dammit!
Where is the bloody investigation???
All it takes is a Federal Prosecutor, not a member of the House or Senate.
And not Bush, this is a violation of Federal Law.
Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both. This section shall not abridge the right of a citizen to apply, himself or his agent, to any foreign government or the agents thereof for redress of any injury which he may have sustained from such government or any of its agents or subjects.
I agree that Pelosi should be prosecuted, but how on earth will we convince the spineless Republicans to pursue this action?
AND Feinstein, dammit
Well I can’t believe what some are saying, don’t do this as she will become a victim. So we are to just continue to let the Liberals violate our laws because some here do not want us to look bad in the press.
I am starting to think we have more liberals here then I had thought in the past.
Thank-you. You saved me quite a few keystrokes.
Today’s WSJ seems to think it does.
