DeLeon has said he was compelled to author the bill after a gang member's stray bullet struck 9-year-old Charupha Wongwisetsiri in the head while she and her mother were in the kitchen of their Angelino Heights home last Dec. 20. The girl died of her injuries six days later. The Tyranny of the Anecdote strikes again!

What would be nice to see is if semiauto manufacturers just refused to sell to California- including the police!
That aside, imagine if the cops pick up brass from a crime scene that has been reloaded a few times, or has been picked up from a public range and dropped.
You are going to go after some guy because he was shooting at Sharpshooters in Torrance and someone scooped his brass?
New revolvers are exempt- gee, do you think people will buy revolvers if semis are not as available? Revolvers don’t drop brass unless the shooter wants to.

Not surprised to see that they were all RATS! With gangs taking over LA, they are stupid when they try to take guns away from people who need them to protect themselves from the slime that has slid across the border from Mexico!

More gun control by morons that don’t know the first thing about firearms seconded by the police, master enforcers of the state controlling the bestial masses.

Any elected official or leo who doesn’t believe free people have the right to protect themselves is as big a threat to our safety as the felons they can’t control and they should be run out of office and town.

They call it a bill of rights, but these provisions are just responsibilities and limitations for other people. If you want to talk rights, you could start with the right to shoot back.

Four new anti-gun owner laws to turn honest citizens who pay taxes and stay out trouble into instant felons merely because they own or use a firearm that was legal ten seconds before the law came into effect.
Meanwhile, the real bad guys (crooks and these anti-gun legislators) rob rape and loot.

"What would be nice to see is if semiauto manufacturers just refused to sell to California- including the police!" Barret (makers of .50 cal weapons) did that to IIRC Cali police depts. There was link on the company webpage. I can't link to it...because guns and weapons are naughty pages that my company forbids to view on this computer.

With gangs taking over LA, they are stupid when they try to take guns away from people who need them to protect themselves from the slime that has slid across the border from Mexico! Actually, the RATS need the criminal class and gun control is useful for empowering criminals. The goal is to make it impossible for law-abiding people to own guns. There is also the goal to criminalize self-defense -- create so many technicalities that everyone is a "criminal." Meanwhile, armed criminals are free to do anything they want.

You know if they spent the effort, money and time on doing the right thing instead of lining their pockets; some decent could happen.

One shot out of smooth bore black powder will still do the trick. No case and no marks on the ball. If someone wants to drop a hammer on someone they will figure out a way to get it done.
