The priesthood in the LDS Church receives no pay.
Bishops serve for a period of 5 years and then are released.
Stake Presidents serve for a period of 10 years and then are released.
Our former Stake President was called as a Sunday School Teacher when he was released.
Members of the 70s Quorums serve from 5 to 15 years and then are released.
There is not a progression from one to the other.
Our former Stake President was never a Bishop.
Being in one office does not give you a leg-up on any other office.
In all cases, there is no pay, or even expenses paid to those who serve in the various offices.
I If you are quoting averages for time in a position, maybe, as for when you are released, that’s up to the Lord. Other than the exact years thing, pretty accurate.
Well said.
Our former Stake President is now the Scout Master in his local unit.
There is no “working your way up.”
< sigh > Read my posts. I never mentioned anything about pay, except in the spiritual sense. If you believe you do this, that and the other thing, good deeds all, to merit advancement in heaven, such is a definition of religion, not Christianity.
In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, one God over all that is, in 3 Persons, Amen.
