WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Rudy Giuliani's message to social conservatives: If you don't like my views, don't vote for me.

My time point is 1913.
Even disregarding my time reference and focusing on nearer history the higher marginal rates that continued from the Roosevelt era affected far fewer in those brackets and the mid-level margins were much softer.
Women were able to stay home and raise a family. One wage earner sufficed for the family unit and basic needs were not a problem. People had discretionary income and chose to save.
That was only one generation ago.
The point to you was that you accused people of focusing on ‘one issue’ in post #200. That ‘one’ issue is a huge set of issues.
Abortion, Economics, Education and Security are linked in more ways than one.
That you recanted and admitted that abortion is tied to other issues shows a capacity for discourse but to handwave that you would choose an abortion supporter who is tough on terrorism is a red herring. It makes no logical sense because there are those that will be tougher on terrorism yet are wholly prolife.
We're done.
I do not agree that the mushy middle will save giuliani.
The mushy middle is highly susceptible to the media, and the media will begin slicing and dicing Rudi’s many, many oddities as soon as he gets the nomination.
John Kerry convinced nearly a majority of America to support him. So did Gore. Those same numbers are now vetted voters. And many of them were the “mushy middle.”
Hillary/Obama can expect that same support. Giuliani will get his share of the mush, but he’ll give up a huge percentage of his base.
Why do you think Romney scored so heavily against him? Why do you think that Thompson registered double digits without even campaigning when his name was mentioned?
Giuliani cannot afford to lose even one percent of Bush’s supporters, and he’s throwing away up to a third of it.
Hilliary will beat Rudy if he is the candidate because she is the real deal.
I doubt I am as old as the harpie squad you run with, but old enough to know a lot more than you.
I heard it just today on Rush (I’m fairly certain now.) I believe in introducing it that Rush said he was playing Rudy at some recent Q&A with a media reporter.
You don’t know squat. And that is becoming increasingly apparent. V’s wife.
It was also just on Fox with Brit a few minutes ago.
He was not being interviewed by Rush.
Rush was playing excerpts of a Q&A interview that Rudy gave to some media reporter.
Not planning to vote for Rudy under any circumstance.
Dumb hacks?
ESAD.
You groupthinktards never cease to amaze me. You are quite welcome to disregard your principles and vote for that scum sucking liberal POS RINO Rudy, but since I see no difference fundamentally between him and HRC, I will sleep just fine at night with my clear conscience by not voting for either if the country is unlucky enough to have those two as the only choice for POTUS in 08.
I’ll think of you the next time I see a batch of lemmings heading over the cliff.
See #710.
Syncro says Brit Hume just replayed the same thing.
Thanks,
Ultimately, it's a constitutional right, and therefore if it's a constitutional right, ultimately, even if you do it on a state-by-state basis, you have to make sure people are protected,There must be public funding for abortions for poor women We cannot deny any woman the right to make her own decisions about abortion.
I thought he was commenting on public financing only, not to argue that point, but clearly he feels there's a Constitutional right to abortion.
Big Bump.
You are a POS.
Is it on YouTube yet?
This is gonna hurt Rudy. GOOD! Republican voters need to know exactly where liberal Rudy stands on core issues. Once that happens, his support will drop faster than Clinton's trousers.
Thanks, found the quote. Clearly he’s not talking about the narrow issue of public financing for a legal procedure, but seems to state quite clearly that access to abortion is a Constitutional right. And not the law of the land based on the Supremes decison, but a Constitutional right. At least he’s straigtforward.
