If a women gets pregnant by choice she needs to owe up to it and have the child or let it be adopted, if she was raped she should have a choice the best we hope would be to choose to adopt! But it should not be enforced!

Nobody HAS to vote for anybody; just stop saying people who don’t agree with you are liberals.

Jeez, what's wrong with you folks... What the hell's become of FR??? Don't you know by now that the media creates their own titles, and often skews it to shed a less favorable light to the GOPers?

Read the actual quote, there's nothing new there. If anything, rather than pandering, Rudy states that he has a position, he acknowledges that to some, this is an over-riding issue and they won't vote for him as a result. He's sticking to his position, right or wrong...

I guess the abortion issue is a red-herring to you folks, huh. Keep his stance and he gets blasted, stuff like this gets taken out of context... Switch and be branded a flip-flopper, or someone you can't believe.Honestly, I'd love to see Hunter get in, but I frankly don't think he will. You all blast Rudy, McCain, and Romney... Who's left, if FD doesn't get in?

You need a huge dose of pragmatism and reality... What's your plan B if Hunter doesn't jump in? Hunter? You're got to be kidding me. He will NEVER win the GOP candidacy, or be nominated for VP. Ever. Take THAT to the bank.

"I’m not willing to throw this country to the liberals"

Yet electing Rudy Giuliani will do that very thing. He is a liberal, no doubt about it.

The Rudybots have panicked and are now grasping at straws. He has imploded and they cannot deal with it.

Rudy "peaked" almost a year before the first primary. Except for the timing, he's pretty much in the same boat that Howard Dean was in at the start of the primaries in 2004.

As you know, I don't give personal information on the internet to stalkers. And you promised not to stalk me anymore.

Thanks.

Can you point out where you think I did that?

I think we should point out ANY of the top three republicans beat Hillary clinton. ANY. I am willing to lay odds the same is true for Fred Thompson. Which would be the top four candidates.

Guiliani can not lay any claim whatsoever to being “only one who can beat”

Sounds like you haven’t stepped away at all from the ‘emotion’ of the issue.

And thirdly, you are assuming that Hillary Clinton is the Democratic nominee. This is far from being decided at this early point.

Hey Tommy Dale, Are you the same Tommy Dale that lives in Williamson Co, Texas?

The question is: would you vote for Rudy or the Republican Nominee for president in the General Election? Or would you make sure Hillary or Obama Osama wins?

The question is the General Election, not the primary.

Best Regards

P-Marlowe writes:
I will NEVER vote for Rudy. And since he's comfortable with that. I'm comfortable with it too.

Well, OK, don't vote for him.

But I will speculate that for each voter on the right (like yourself) who refuses to vote for Rudy, there are one, or perhaps more than one, of the "mushy middle" (and even some former "Reagan Democrats") who WILL vote for Rudy. Ultimately, you're refusal to vote stands less of a chance of hurting Rudy than you presuppose.

You continued:
Without the support of the Pro-Life crowd, no republican can possibly be elected president.

I have predicted a few years' back - and I will predict again - that before long, there will not even BE a "pro-life" plank in the Republican platform. If Rudy looks unstoppable for the nomination, we may even see a "matter of personal conscience" plank regarding abortion in THIS year's Republican platform.

I further predict that we are going to see the Republican party change from being the "pro-life" party into a "matter of conscience" party on the abortion issue. This will fill the void left by the Democrats, who have long-abandoned a "pro-choice" stance for one of "pro-abortion". That is to say, one can no longer be a "pro-life" Democrat, nor even willing to give individuals the freedom to have a "choice". With them, one MUST be pro-abortion or nothing.

The Democrats have "abandoned the center" on abortion. If the Republican party is willing to take that center from the Democrats, they will have both the right _and_ the center on this issue. Refuse to do so, and the party further isolates itself from the American political mainstream.

One of the tenets of conservatism is the willingness to recognize the world and the human condition for what it is, to see reality as it is (rather than the liberal tendency to ignore "what is" for their scrambled-egg dreams). And the reality of abortion in America is that it is here to stay.

You finished with:
And if you think I'm going to vote for Rudy simply because his opponent is Hillary, think again, America is a democracy and America will get the kind of government it deserves.

And if you, sir, sit on your hands this election and permit Hillary or B. Hussein Obama to be elected simply because you refuse to support the Republican candidate, then YOU will get the "kind of government" YOU deserve!

I don't feel I deserve that kind of government, and will use my vote to [at least try to] stop it.

- John

I’ll make a deal with you. I will agree to vote for whoever wins the GOP nomination, with the exception of only Rudy Giuliani. No dice on him, but any other GOP candidate would receive my vote in November, 2008. I just cannot vote for a liberal just because he/she has a (R) after their name.

No, I live in North Carolina. I will vote for any nominee the GOP runs in 2008, with the exception of Rudy Giuliani. He told me today to not vote for him.
