Lighten up Francis.I forget what movie this came from:)
“I’m shocked! Shocked! There’s gambling!” and “Round up the usual suspects.” from Casablanca
Always????
Fair plot that bounced about more than necessary and strayed greatly from actual history, excellent dramatic acting from Damon & Jolie, very good production of the 1939-63 era setting, better direction than I expected from De Niro...
However, the sutble liberal slant was always lurking about as is in this exchange:
Joseph Palmi (Joe Pesci as another mobster): Let me ask you something... we Italians, we got our families, and we got the chuch; the Irish they have the homeland, jews their tradition; even the ni**ers, they got their music. What about you people, Mr. Wilson, what do you have?
Edward Wilson (Matt Damon): The United States of America, and the rest of you are just visiting.
All in all I am waiting until Clooney’s The Good German (2006)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0452624/ DVD comes out so I can combine them and call it The Good German Shepherd...
‘nother good Mel Gibson line, from Quigley Down Under
“I said I don’t like to use it...not that I couldn’t.”
USING THE WHOLE FIST DOC?
Line one refers to an earlier post...The Golf Specialist.
You are correct about the fatal glass of beer.
I love it:)
Evening Tas!
What’s your favorite movie quote?
For a moment, I thought my mind had become discombobulated...
Thanks lmr.
Lady Marian Fitzswalter: Why, you speak treason!
Robin Hood: Fluently.
* * *
Lieutenant John Chard: The army doesn't like more than one disaster in a day.
Bromhead: Looks bad in the newspapers and upsets civilians at their breakfast.
Pte. Thomas Cole: Why is it us? Why us?
Colour Sergeant Bourne: Because we're here, lad.
And nearly every line Capt. Renault has in 'Casablanca'.
“Now what we got here...is failure to communicate”
heeheee.
“Take everything but the fire.” Bruce Dern in The Cowboys.
“Of course he is, he’s an actor.”
