Former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Newt Gingrich released the following statement today on YouTube in English and in Spanish.
There was nothing wrong with what he said in the first place. Rick Sanchez/CNN and that shriveled up ol’ woman from LULAC turned it into something else entirely, with the rest of the media.
Gingrich finally got it right and now he’s pandering. Says he’s taking Spanish lessons. Well, good for you, Senor Newt.
Exactly. I don’t know what he’s so sensitive about; the Democrats will call him a racist whatever he does.
He has nothing to apologize for.
Lately it seems like the only time a politician appologizes is when he shouldn't!
I guess we all need sensitivity training. *sigh*

When even Newt is wimping out, you know this is trouble. but then, he has to do that sometimes. he is a Republican, after all.
“Gingrich finally got it right and now he’s pandering.” False. He reiterates his statement that it is important to learn English well and refuses to allow that to be cast in a negative light by the Treason Media and its pressitutes.
It is an interesting demonstration of just what Newt would be facing should he announce he was running.
He’s pandering, call it what you like.
No normal person would think what he said was pandering. But those anxious to find a panderer under every bed would think so.
I didn’t see anything wrong in what Newt said, but I didn’t think he needed ro say it, or at least he didn’t need to say it to immigrants. I know a lot of immigrants; I don’t know any who don’t want to learn English; even those who find it hard to do so, as adults, want their kids to be fluent. I used to teach an ESL class at our local adult school & I still occasionally substitute there.People wait all night to sign up for the ESL slots. Most of those taking the classes are Latino men. A lot of them come to class after a full day of hard work — if you ask them why they’re doing it, they give two reasons, one is to get better jobs, the other is they want to be full members of this society.
I never claimed to be normal.

I saw that clip of him, and it was... ridiculous. The more they pander to Mexico, the more desperate they appear.
Next thing you know he'll be going on a George Allen type apology tour. Wait, that was a senatorial campaign. I had trouble telling the difference there for about a month.
So when someone responds to an attempted Treason Media distortion of what he says he is “pandering”? Odd
