On January 19, 2009, President Bush should invite him to the White House, thoughtfully discuss Lindh's life and where he went wrong, and then kick him in the groin.

Yes- his sentencing is out of line. He should be given his choice of prison terms:

A. A lengthy Charles Manson-style prison term where he won't be paroled because he's unrepentant and insane.

B. A shorter, Jeffrey Dahmer-style prison term where he faces a different type of jury pool

C. A brief Saddam-style prison term where he has a short sentence at the end of a long rope.
