To those that don't know Savage or listen to him, he claims to be an "independent conservative"... He surely does espouse some conservative views, but the vile he spews towards Bush, his cabinet, and other Republicans and GOPers could be mistaken for Air America trash.
It would be easy to blow him off as another looney blow-hard, but he's the 3rd most listened-to talk show host in the nation... He has over 8 million listeners, and in calling himself a conservative, he DOES have some real influence there. He's supposed to be on our side, but shifts positions so often, he's become a joke. He embodies every lefty criticism of our side.
In listening to parts of his show last night, he has the following things to say, in a short time span...
* Syria isn't nearly as bad as Iran, they can be spoken to, they don't threaten Israel, they are nationalists not fundamentalists
* The war was started to benefit Oil companies.
* Blasted Bush to no end, said Rice should have been fired a long time ago, blasted the rest of the cabinet
* Said it was OK for Pelosi to go talk to Syria
* Asked why is there a division between GOP and Dems, why do we automatically assume everything they do should be hated, etc.
In my view, this scum is far more dangerous than Air America and nearly every lib out there. He's pretending to be a conservative, yet does more damage to our causes than any other non-politician I can think of, because he has the influence to sway people.
This guy is an utter disgrace and a phony.

(I call you a Yankee because a Southerner would not have the extremely poor manners to call someone a liar on an anonymous forum). He might,however, have the courage to call one a liar to his face and take his chances, though.
I just can’t take my political advice from a manic whack job. Like all insane people, Savage can at times have moments of lucidity and clarity, causing him to say something incredibly brilliant.
But the other 99% of the time you have to listent to the insane ramblings of a moonbat. And I get enough of that at work being a police officer.
You should apologies to wolves for that denigrating comment.
Wiener fans are more like "World of Warcraft" players. I call it "World of Wiener Warcraft". They play in a fantasy world, and when confronted with reality, they take out their virtual swords and start swinging.
The most common tactic by the rabid Wiener fan is the mirroring of Wiener's vile and hatefilled tirades against his callers. The Wiener fan thinks by shouting down a critic of Wiener, that the Wiener critic will "hang up" out of fear. Don't fear these misguided Freepers. They should be constantly reminded of why Wiener is bad for Conservatism.

More depressing than his idiocy on foreign policy is the slavish adoration given to those who hate the Democrats as if life was full of binary solutions. The idea that any politician is someone to worship is beyond pitiful. Neither party has any reason to gloat.
Remember both parties stood by and watched trillions of dollars get pumped down the black hole of the intelligence agencies and military. And yet on 9/11 all of them failed to protect us...furthermore they spent significant amount of my money spinning the story that we shouldn’t hold anyone to blame because it was impossible to stop them.
I call bull to that idea...
Perhaps until you are shown the proof, Fishtank can admit it too?

I’m having a hard time finding the Texas AM affiliates for the Dennis Miller show. Westwood One doesn’t list it in their lineup.
I’ve been watching the threads since July ‘05.
On those threads, I hardly see anything, and the few remotely-qualifiable posts that I do see is nowhere near as bad as what you and your, er, pals dish out on the Savage threads. Not even close.
At least he is not a Water Boy for the Republican Party. We had too many of those and look where it got us.
Sure there tons of Waterboys for the GOP.
However, their existence, doesn’t absolve Michael Savage from being a scumbag, which he clearly is.
He is the Rosie O’Donnell of the right, with a less informed audience.
The man exists as comic relief to true conservatives, oh yeah, he is also a Jerry Brown supporting, scumbag.
Jerry Brown wants cop killers to avoid the death penalty. By extension Michael Weiner wants them to go free as well, he supported Jerry Brown financially, therefore, he supports the freeing of cop killers.
Michael Savage is a waterboy for Jerry Brown and the wackjobs whose existence discredits true conservatives.
