Michael Savage: The Enemy Within (One of The Biggest Threats to Conservatives)
Self | 4/4/07 | Self

Posted on 04/04/2007 5:58:38 AM PDT by NYC Republican

To those that don't know Savage or listen to him, he claims to be an "independent conservative"... He surely does espouse some conservative views, but the vile he spews towards Bush, his cabinet, and other Republicans and GOPers could be mistaken for Air America trash.

It would be easy to blow him off as another looney blow-hard, but he's the 3rd most listened-to talk show host in the nation... He has over 8 million listeners, and in calling himself a conservative, he DOES have some real influence there. He's supposed to be on our side, but shifts positions so often, he's become a joke. He embodies every lefty criticism of our side.

In listening to parts of his show last night, he has the following things to say, in a short time span...

* Syria isn't nearly as bad as Iran, they can be spoken to, they don't threaten Israel, they are nationalists not fundamentalists

* The war was started to benefit Oil companies.

* Blasted Bush to no end, said Rice should have been fired a long time ago, blasted the rest of the cabinet

* Said it was OK for Pelosi to go talk to Syria

* Asked why is there a division between GOP and Dems, why do we automatically assume everything they do should be hated, etc.

In my view, this scum is far more dangerous than Air America and nearly every lib out there. He's pretending to be a conservative, yet does more damage to our causes than any other non-politician I can think of, because he has the influence to sway people.

This guy is an utter disgrace and a phony.

“Vile” is an adjective, and has to modify a noun. It cannot be a noun itself, no matter how hard one tries to use it so.

In this context, the noun you want is indeed “bile.” If you must use the V, then the noun would be “vileness.”

I get BLASTED by the Weiner fans, for doing a very simple thing... Letting other FReepers (who may have missed the show), know what he's saying. He's not an obscure Air America personality- if he was, I'd dismiss him like I do the others. He has 8 million listeners. 3rd behind (way behind) Rush and Sean

All I'm doing is helping to expose this lying scum, and I get attacked personally. I guess these folks don't want the truth out there...

“What about the Republicans that went on Sunday?”

They had no business there either. However, as pointed out in a recent National Review article on the subject:

“A few foolish Republicans can do only so much damage. Pelosi, on the other hand, has a majority, and it is doing its best to raise the white flag over the Middle East.”

Bush has sold out his base. The immigration fiasco and lack of funding for the fence undercut his veracity and fidelity to promises made through his spokesmen.

I am frankly scratching my head wondering where his 33% support is coming from.

Vile behavior. How’s that?

What's with the shot at Duncan Hunter?

Honestly, I'm sensing an agenda at work here.

Hey NYCR, have you considered inviting the Weinerites onto this thread? Maybe they’ll bring their cool graphics and critical-thinking skills. ;)

That is perfection itself. And as an opinion, I can’t find fault because I share it!

IIRC, MineralMan was the FReeper who explained that “Michael Savage” is the radio equivalent of the Rock or the Undertaker . . . it’s a wrestling persona, except he talks instead of wrestling.

So it’s Bush’s fault for that? I guess it was Reagan’s fault that during his two terms Republicans didn’t have control of both houses huh?

How about:

“Weiner is vile.” Where the “is” connotes permanence, as opposed to the “vile” merely modifying “Weiner.”

To use an anology from Spanish, it’s like the verb “es” vs. “esta” in Spanish).

Wiener esta malo.

o

Wiener es malo -— as in he is the original vile, the epitome of disgust, the first evil.

He turned against Israel last summer, that was enough for me.

He is sadistic and disrespectful towards callers to his program, for no apparent reason. This instantly discredits any “views” he may have, in my opinion.

Anyway, the good news is that his program has been bumped in the L.A. area by Dennis Miller’s new show.

Actually, I have to give Tarkus credit here, he’s a HUGE supporter (usually starts the daily threads), and HE was blasting Savage for the Pelosi/Syria position. Of course, he got shouted down by the cult-like following. Kudos to him on this one.

Most Hunter supporters are also Savage listeners...

Ridiculous generalization. Did you post this thread just to slam Hunter supporters by (a false) association?

What's with the shot at Duncan Hunter?

It's not meant to be critical of Hunter supporters, just to ask if they're identical in that they're both a form of protest (as Hunter is not electable)...

Ahh. And I'll bet that you have someone particular in mind that you feel is "electable"?

I agree. The gratuitous slam at Hunter was unwelcome.
