Take a look at this chart of Keith Olbermann and Paula Zahn's demo performance from March 2006 to March 2007. After a few tough summer months, Countdown took the lead in October, and hasn't looked back since. But both shows have trended down in the past several months.
Zahn averaged 164,000 demo viewers in March, down from a high of 231,000 in November. And Olbermann averaged 200,000 demo viewers in March, down from 253,000 just two months ago in January...
FYI
Who would pay a dime for advertising there? You can get more bang for the buck with ads between the sunday morning Little Giant Ladder infomercial and the informercial for the Fein multi-tool.
This is not going to help Krazy Keith with his therapy....
BTW, I have watched segments of Countdown from time to time to see if they had anything to offer. They don't.
Actually..msnbc is stuck with psycho keith because they cannot find anyone with talent to take over the 8 eastern slot against Bill on Fox..my two cents..
I bet 75% of the “viewers” are commercial businesses that have the show on, regardless of input from customers.
Anyone who invests time in a nitwit like Keith, who hopes for dead American troops, will lose on their investment every time.
And everyone says there’s only Bad News anymore!
Pray for W and Our Troops
Olberman is far more sophomoric than Animal House (the movie), but far less entertaining.
I don’t think Zahn’s contract will be renewed. Her numbers are way down. They never rerun her show later in the night. I guess they think her show is a loser.
He received a bonus and contract extension from MSNBC.
ROTFL... I remember few months ago when the liberal media was telling that hate filled left wing lunatic Keith Olbermann is going to have the best ratings and is going to be a big competitor to the O’Reilly factor!
I travel for business and often when I am flipping the channels and encounter OOOllllberrmannnnn. It occurs to me then that with his numbers a very large portion of his “viewers” may be like me, watching for the one or two seconds it takes to get to the next channel.
Could be a good follow-on book.
Man, how can you do it?!
It is interesting how the corporate bosses keep O and Z on the air. They must enjoy losing advertisers (and money) to Fox.
These people are more fanatical than any of the religious zealots they harp against.
If you were advertising Prozac or 9/11 conspiracy T-shirts, you’d make a killing.
