Ye she is but that not unusual at all, many Christian pilgrims who visit this site make the sign of the cross as well. It is not “bravery” at all; please do not give this traitor Pelosi any credit here.

Why is John the Baptist buried in a Mosque in Damascus?

Because he was beheaded?

No, because he is dead.

So I guess this is how “emminent domain” works in the Arab world. You have a nice building, even one with a tomb of John the Baptist. It may have even been a church, but you TAKE the building and turn it into YOUR religious shrine.
Boy, and we thought the laws were wierd about this in USA.

If she is, that’s pretty ballsy.

The Muhammedan would have torn her limb from limb if she had. You may remember that Pope Benedict was repeatedly threatened about attempting to pray during his visit to Hagia Sophia in Turkey. Pope Benedict wisely did not show any external signs of praying while he was there, which is good since the Western media would have accused him of inciting the Muhammedan mob.

She’s probably making the sign of the cross in the mosque because it’s the only “religious” thing she knows to do.

Is the body of John the Baptist ... inside a mosque?

10 to 1, the Mosque began life as a Church.

Minor detail, but John the Baptist was dispatched sans head before the crucifixion, no?

Well, that’s how John the Baptist died, so maybe they made an exception?

Because in typical muslim fashion the Christian church that used to be on the site was demolished by the revisionist religion of peace and a mosque built in its place

Yes I do but that is not the point. There is a stigma in America about any mosque in terrorist supporting nations and that’s what they’ll remember.

From Wiki:

Several different locations claim to possess the severed head of John the Baptist.

Muslim tradition maintains that the head of John the Baptist is interred in the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus.
In medieval times it was rumored that the Knights Templar had possession of the head, and multiple records from their Inquisition in the early 1300s make reference to some form of head worship.
Some Christians believe that the head on display in San Silvestro in Capite in Rome is that of John the Baptist.
Some believe that it is buried in the town of Halifax, West Yorkshire, England.[4] Others believe the current location to be in Turkish Antioch, or southern France.
John's right hand, with which he baptised Jesus, is said to be in the possession of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the Cetinje monastery.
The relics of John the Baptist are also said to be in the possession of the Coptic Orthodox Monastery of Saint Macarius the Great in Scetes, Egypt.
It is said John the Baptist's arm and piece of his skull can be found at the Topkapı Palace in Istanbul, Turkey.

John's remains seem to have turned up just about everywhere but the Priory of Sion.

No one knows where JTB was buried. It’s not recorded in the Bible. But this church claims to have his head.
