Then they are ignorant. If they read the article, or just the caption, they can use discernment to determine whether or not they themselves would want to see John the Baptist’s tomb. I would want to see it. To have the opportunity to pray at the tomb of a contemporary of Jesus’ time is extraordinary.

The Spanish turned mosques into churches. They did the same with Meso-American temples. The Italians turned some pagan temples into churches. Greeks did so, too. Northern Europeans could have also followed suit.

Converting buildings from one religion to another isn't something exclusive to Islam.

The most important question is why is Nancy Pelosi making the sign of the cross. Given her views she should not be allowed any where near anything catholic.

Surely you don't disagree with Kaslin's remark suggesting a lot of Christians would be offended by a Muslim worshiping Allah inside of a church?

Can imagine that a large amount of freepers would be in an uproar over that. Personally would probably consider it an oddity or a lame attempt by the Muslim to make a point.

According to some Muslims John the Baptist was really a messanger for Islam as Jews never really existed.

IMO - It’s more likely that she’s trying to do a Muslim gesture, with one hand because the other is holding an emergencey facelift kit. After all, she’s got the head scarf, why stop there... I think Muslims do a gesture that “symbolizes washing the face” with two hands in front of the face before they pray.
