StopRosie.com Online petition to get Rosie off the Air
StopRosie.com ^ | 4/3/07 | Unknown

Posted on 04/03/2007 7:53:21 AM PDT by PajamaTruthMafia

Our Mission: is to influence current and prospective viewers of The View to not watch the program until Rosie O'Donnell is replaced.

Our Reason: for calling this boycott is to raise awareness of the anti-American rhetoric being displayed in the mainstream media today. We aim to show Disney-ABC (and all other media outlets) that we, as American citizens, will not tolerate an anti-American individual occupying national airtime.

Our Method: comes in the form of an online petition. We ask for your support in signing this petition, proving to Disney-ABC that they are losing a significant portion of consumers.

Rosie has a Constitutional Right to make an a$$hole of herself.

Boycott Disney and all of it’s products. If you hit them in the wallet, they will stop this flat out propaganda.

Forget it. All shows thrive on publicity and you are just giving them more publicity. Stop watching the show. Tell your acquaintances to stop watching the show. Look pitiably and disgusted at anyone who claims he or she watches the show. Contact the sponsors if you wish but lowering the ratings is the best way to end a show or personality on a show.

“GMA this morning was trumpeting “have you heard what Rosie said”. They think it’s great.”

That wasn’t the sense I got. There was a man on there (some professor) who said that ABC should make Rosie ‘clarify’ what she meant. And another woman said there are not calls for her to step down ‘yet’. Doesn’t sound like a ringing endorsement to me at all.

(Now back to the guy who thinks Rosie should be made to ‘clariry’-he still hasn’t gotten a clue. Rosie said exactly what she meant. ‘Clarifying’ will cause her to step deeper into it.)

The View could force out gravity-challenged Rosie by replacing Hassleback with Laura Ingraham.

Marshall’s

T.J. Maxx

Now that figures. Didn't they get all of their Christmas credit card user's numbers hacked? I would just LOVE to see what El Tubbo would have to say about that!

The only reason Barbara Walters or the network doesn’t dare reign Rosie in or fire her is Rosie will paint them all as homophobes and be able to get away with it. However, I’ll be more than happy to sign the petition in hopes it gets her off the air.

I have an idea. I’ve mentioned this in the past in a rough outline of a course of action to let advertisers get feed back in situations like Rosie.

What is needed is an email chain; and a moderator for such a chain. This chain would be of people who are like minded in the objecting to the outrageous mutterings of this mental midget. When she espouses that terrorists are morally equal to innocent Americans they kill, we need to be heard in our outrage. If there were a way to let sponsors know that we find that their supporting shows like “the View” are not acceptable and that we choose to use the market place to express out displeasure with their actions, they would take notice.

We would have to back up our displeasure with a boycott of their products in the stores. It is not un-American to do this. In fact, it is VERY American. We bring the free market into play to show our commitment to our beliefs.

Now imagine that I find the view to be very disturbing in one of Rosie’s rants. I write an email defining the objection I have and send it to this master email list. The moderator agrees with me and forwards it to a subscriber list and the show’s sponsor that we will not be buying their produce until they distance them selves from the offense. Now, everyone who is a subscriber forwards the email to everyone that they have on their personal email list, asking them to support the boycott of the sponsor and that all of these recipients forward the email to their private email contacts and so on.

Very quickly the boycott would spread like a wild fire. Even if the sponsor’s sales were to drop 2%, it would be effective. The same mechanism could be used to let everyone know when the sponsor took appropriate action.

This idea may be rough in description, but the general idea is that petitions will not work. Corporate bottom line considerations will work. When you can affect the bottom line of a corporation, you will effect change.

I will sign the petition, but we need a $$$ way of catching the attention of these show’s sponsors, not the networks.

It’s going to be hard, but I will boycott Sears and M&Ms if it means damaging the “View”

I say let her rant also. The only problem is the rant that will get her fired/arrested may result in the murder of someone whose voter registration in The Book of Persons for a particular city leads one of her Moonbat viewers to them.

It would be more effective if we wrote the companies that advertise on the show. Got a list? I won’t watch the view. Saw it once years ago, and it wasn’t my cup of tea.

Rosie O’Donnel is a babbling idiot. I watched her show until she sandbagged Tom Selleck. Back before that defining moment, she was pleasant. What happened???

Ooops, forgot to add that Disney apparently holds the same views as Rosie. Just like Sam Walton, Walt Disney is doing 360’s in his grave :(
