Yup, its not the individuals fault, its the culture. In the liberals philosophy, the individual is not responsible for his actions. It is society's fault.
And we are the blessed recipients of their culture. How fortunate are WE?
Drinking excessively as well as drunk driving certainly aren't unique to hispanics.
If the United States wasn't such a Nazi, Racist, closed country....Then Hispanics could drive drunk and not have accidents...
If it is not booze it is drugs and it will never change. There is also another common denominator most have a history of family abuse. Do not believe me just turn on a police scanner and listen to the Hispanic areas of town.
Well, that settles it. If it's a cultural value we certainly can't oppose it. That would be racist.

After the March wreck in Johnston County, U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick, a Charlotte Republican, reintroduced a bill that would require the deportation of all immigrants convicted of drunken driving
Well, that's a start.
Drunk driving is just another aspect of "diversity" that we must tolerate, nay, celebrate. Sigh.
Is tagging cultural as well. Inquiring minds would like to know.
The rain keeps falling...
Make em all legal, that should fix it!
Ping!
Most central and south americans on the lower rungs of the class ladder have a lot of indian blood in them, and we know how the north american indians handle "firewater".....
As a former criminal defense attorney, I often dealt with Hispanic clients. They offered some very interesting outlooks on living. E.g.-
Judge - "Why did you take the bicycle?" (17 YO kid)
Kid - "Well he could afford it."
J - "How did you figure that out?"
K - "He had so much nice stuff in his garage."
Judge - "Why did you beat your wife?"
Def't - "She needed it."
J - "But it is not good to hit her. Couldn't you talk with her?"
D - "She only understands being beat up, YOUR HONOR!"
D - "It is ok to do this back home in Mexico!"
Judge - "Why did you put your penis in your 4 year old granddaughter's mouth?"
Def't - "It felt good."
J - "Don't you know that is illegal and not very nice?"
D - "That is only if you get caught. It is OK to do this in Mexico!"
I actually heard these conversations in court.
I always told my clients I could defend them against abuse by the system but I could NOT make them NOT GUILTY.
Yet another component of the bush legacy?
Summarily execute any drunk driver (.08+) upon arrest and you'll see a quick drop in DWI's.

I served on a Tarrant County jury last year, and we put away a proud member of the Latino community for "expressing his culture" on the streets of our city.
Drunk driving: The next civil rights frontier.
Does this make Patrick Kennedy Rhode Island's first Hispanic Congressman?
