Smith is currently listed as the FOIA Liaison of Presidential Records for the various libraries.

That's disgusting! At the very least she is incompetent and completely shirked her responsibility. At worst, she was in on it.

Either way, there is no way she should still be a government employee.

Not sure if this has been posted...but this is a nice condensation- worth a bookmark:)

~ snip ~
Rep. Tom Davis, R-Va., is charging a cover-up by the Justice Department in connection with the 2003 theft and destruction of top secret documents by Clinton National Security Advisor Sandy Berger. Davis also told FOX News that he is not convinced that Berger was not acting under direction from the Clinton Administration.

"I'm not convinced that he was acting alone," Davis said. "They could have well said, ‘Sandy, do you remember that document way back — that I wrote to you ... We can't get this into the record. This is gonna make us look terrible.' "

GWB protects only his family and friends.

It could be he's protecting his father from something the Clinton's have on him from Mena.

I could not believe how GHWB was put in photo ops with Clinton a while back.

It smells like Clinton mafia.

I, however am more interested in why the Bush Justice department has covered this up. This was not incompetence, it was and is a cover up by the Bush administration.

The simple explanation for the obvious administration coverup is that The Sandyman has some serious leverage over Bush in this affair. I don't know what that leverage is but the odds are that it involves the Clinton machine and that there is information in the Clinton's hands that Bush simply was not willing to see let out. I can't prove this but if true, it explains everything about this screwed up case.

Thank you Ronnie. When I saw your post, I had to dig out the movie and see it again. Explained a few things to my daughter-in-law. Heavy moment. Thank you again.

Weldon said that in September 2000, the unit recommended on three separate occasions that its information on the hijackers be given to the FBI “so they could bring that cell in and take out the terrorists.” However, Weldon said Pentagon lawyers rejected the recommendation, arguing that Atta and the others were in the country legally so information on them could not be shared with law enforcement.

“Lawyers within the administration — and we’re talking about the Clinton administration, not the Bush administration — said ‘you can’t do it,’” and put post-its over Atta’s face, Weldon said. “They said they were concerned about the political fallout that occurred after Waco … and the Branch Davidians.”

Thx, Miss Didi.

Jack Cashill's analysis

Part 1 : The Secret that Sandy Risked his All For
Part 2 : Why Bush Justice Rolled Over for Sandy Berger
Part 3 : How Sandy Berger Paid Back the GOP

is critical to an understanding of the clinton-Berger crime.

You know, the administration that distracted us with a war while they opened the borders and is working on it's big accomplishment, The North American Union.

Good grief!

I agree completely that the world as we know it will end if the klintonista's get back in power.

We had best focus on making sure that does not happen.

Bashing the President and anyone in his administration is not going to help us one bit.

Bash bubba and his co-conspirators. They helped the terrorists by ignoring them as did previous presidents, including Ronald Reagan.

Let's not dwell on past failures, lets focus on how this President is doing his best to keep us from another attack.

There is no doubt in my mind that the 9/11 commissioners knew all about the theft. They preferred to pretend otherwise, as it didn't fit their agenda.

What a sickening bunch they were. Every last one of them.

To this very day the dems are doing all in their power to keep us from connecting the dots. (their favorite phrase)

They want to water down the Patriot Act so it is toothless.

They leak secrets to the NYSlimes so our enemies have forewarning and take every opportunity to promote the ACLU line as tho it applies to terrorists outside our country, who seek to contact people here in the USA.

We had best speak up, make calls, write letters to the local papers......get people thinking.

Tell our talk show hosts, radio and TV, that we've had enough of ANS, we want national security issues to be topics to be covered.

An informed electorate is all that is going to save us from the klintons.

I saw this, very well done by FoxNews. It seems to me that the DOJ is being held hostage by holdovers and those at war with President Bush, sad state of affairs bordering on treason. The legal profession is a mafia gang.

Berger was threatening and abusive. Don't you think it's reasonable that career DOJ people would fear the wrath of Clinton?

I'm not excusing it. But I can understand those who fear them.
