The man's trying his hardest to redeem his name with the 2nd Amendment crowd. It takes more than one attaboy to make up for the past awshi!s. However, it's at least a start.
IF he continues, and if there are no further attacks on our rights either from him in the future nor as a result of his past wrongdoing, then yeah, he can begin rolling the boulder up the mountain to attempt to eventually regain his past position. He does NOT get a free pass back to where he was, however, and he has to have his ticket punched at ALL the stations along the way.

The man's trying his hardest to redeem his name with the 2nd Amendment crowd. You got that right. I wonder is a lawsuit would be in order if his name and remarks were used without his permission? Could be a new avenue of keeping legislators from taking comments out of context.(?)

I was one of those loud voices that condemed him and I said that his "apology" was cheap talk in the face of the tremendous personal loss his comments generated. I was wrong. He means it. If he didn't he could have paid lip service in apologies and it wouldn't have amounted to a hill of beans. This guy deserves to be forgiven and I'm doing that as of right now, in public. He is making waves where they really need to be created.
