It takes more than one attaboy to make up for the past awshi!s. However, it's at least a start.

IF he continues, and if there are no further attacks on our rights either from him in the future nor as a result of his past wrongdoing, then yeah, he can begin rolling the boulder up the mountain to attempt to eventually regain his past position. He does NOT get a free pass back to where he was, however, and he has to have his ticket punched at ALL the stations along the way.

You got that right. I wonder is a lawsuit would be in order if his name and remarks were used without his permission? Could be a new avenue of keeping legislators from taking comments out of context.(?)

I was one of those loud voices that condemed him and I said that his "apology" was cheap talk in the face of the tremendous personal loss his comments generated. I was wrong. He means it. If he didn't he could have paid lip service in apologies and it wouldn't have amounted to a hill of beans. This guy deserves to be forgiven and I'm doing that as of right now, in public. He is making waves where they really need to be created.
