My guess is that it's rather inert in the digestive system. I suppose depending on the particle size it could be dangerous with regard to physical damage to the animal.

I'll bet it's undigestable like most plastics. I see plastic stuff in my dumb dog's crap all the time.

That's what I'd think. Shouldn't it just pass through? Seems pretty inert. In huge quantities I suppose it might cause a blockage? But it should pass...?

That's the MDF (medium density fiberboard). melamine is the plastic coating

I really don't know but why were all the pets having sypmtoms of rat poison?
IS this a CYA by the FDA because of all the articles coming out about the wheat gluten and where it is in human food. Why do they have the CDC on alert for kidney failure in people. Wheat gluten used in high fiber breads, tofu and other foods.
