Good heavens, we look at the middle east and see what a horrible problem bribes and corruption create and it seems to me that it is on the increase exponentially here.

I know of a state where illegal aliens voted, you could buy yourself a position on the police department, and the local political bosses were gang members...

Of course, I am talking of New York in the mid-19th century.

That got a little smile out of me. I have some in my family background who did some things. They thought it should be better. I guess we're still trying.
