She can't afford to let this escalate. If it does, people will start to get upset the Dems are not supporting the troops more, and start remembering Bush has been our bulwark against these types.
Rush said it best. The dems can't allow victory, because they are too heavily invested in defeat.

"It's hard to believe"
The "Powerline" guys are usually very astute, so I hope this phrase is merely an unthinking piece of rhetoric and not what John H. actually thinks.
It SHOULD be hard to believe, in a more rational world, but that's not the world in which we live. Not only is this not hard to believe, it's exactly what I would expect. The Treasoncrats don't support our own troops - why would they care about anyone else's??? Not even our closest ally and chief coalition partner matters to the 'Rats, compared to sticking it to the WH and focusing upon trying to make us retreat from Iraq in surrender mode.

The dems are salivating with power. They are unable to hide any longer the fact that they hate Western Civilization, the USA, its allies, and love the jihadist and other leftist dictators in the world.
If there is ever a dem president elected, we'll see a mad rush to full-fledged communism.

Oh my! This can't be true. Pelosi is the most hate filled person I have ever seen. Just watching her on TV, I expect her to blow a gasket one day and show the world her true self.

How much money is she or her husband getting from Iran or any other Arab country? What kind of a construction deal is her husband cooking up over there? This woman is not for America's safety, she's after power and money. My thought.

It is simply staggering to me that Pelosi refuses to stand beside America's closest ally. Soon she will stand alone as the nukes hit our shores. Grrrrr

We should stop paying any attention to what Nancy Pelosi says. She has no influence outside the door of her offices. Her political base is a relatively small district including San Fransissy. Her only other support comes from socialist running dogs in Congress.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives is a nothing job, perks aside. While there have been strong Speakers in the past wielding great power, Pelosi is not one.
Pelosi's main job is to assign parking spaces around the Capitol building, supervise the Sargent at Arms, and try to keep the few House members who show up for work each day sober till noon.
In a national where half the population doesn't know the name of the President, she's unimportant.
