Why cant we teach our kids the "truth" The pilgrims were failing miserably under a comunal system and only the concept of private ownership turned that around.
Suddenly people wanted to work the feilds because they were their fields!
Private ownership is what made America prosper!

Yes, PC is evil. And, I don't know about you, but watching people you thought you knew be sucked in by it (after opposing it) just makes it all the more repulsive. Commie, really.

They were hungry under the communal system were everyone got the same percentage of the crop.
Under this system folks would lollygag in the fields figuring "i get the same cut whether i work hard or whether I sluff off"
The fields failed as a result. The same thing happens everywhere its tried

"This reminds me of the sci fi story which has the premise of society intentionally kills children which are too smart"
It reminded me of the book by James Clavell "The Children's Story". This is one of the creepiest books I've ever read. It's about brainwashing/teachers "shaming" kids with the so-called wrong thoughts, etc.

I have never cared for many things PC. I, um, haven't always, well, put another way, I've been more 'centrist' years ago. College, the lefties appealed to my 'heart', professors urged us ladies to be involved, always to the left. (Feminism has failed our generation, oh, let me count the ways!) And, at the same time, repulsed by the unionist Dems I had grown up watching locally. Yet I was still far too 'conservative' for many of my friends. Now, we are miles apart politically.

Fortunately, almost all of my drinking buds turned out to be conservatives. Probably because I bullied them into it. LOL

I guess lego skyscrapers are out. Maybe they should have the kids make lego mausoleums to put lego commie teachers in.

This is a
private school. Just imagine, the parents are paying through the nose for what is basically a re-education camp.
How many parents do you suppose are aware of it?

denied their classmates any access at all to the pretend town they were building Well hell, they should have loved that. Imagine a child using left wing zoning laws to enforce separation of people.

According to the article, the students had been building an elaborate Legotown, but it was accidentally demolished. The teachers decided its destruction was an opportunity to explore the inequities of private ownership. According to the teachers, Our intention was to promote a contrasting set of values: collectivity, collaboration, resource-sharing, and full democratic participation.

Sending production facilities to Mexico obviously lowers the cost, but the savings definitely have not been passed along to the customer. Lego sets keep increasing in price. I know because I have a 10 yr old son and over the course of his life I have spent enough money on Legos that would buy about 2 yrs of tuition at Harvard. LOL! I have a ten year old son as well, and he has a "wealth" of Legos.
My dearest wish is for the Bionicles to stop evolving. Please Lego, make it stop! :)
