Rudy Takes Message to Talk Radio (Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh)
Washington Post ^ | 3/28/07

Posted on 03/28/2007 6:27:42 AM PDT by areafiftyone

Continuing his courtship of conservatives, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is running radio ads on the popular talk radio shows hosted by Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.

"My campaign is about leadership and optimism," Giuliani says in the ad. "We need strong leadership to stay on offense in the war against terrorists." (Listen to the ad here.)

He also highlights his support for "supply side policies and reduced government spending" to "keep the economy growing."

The commercial ends with a plug for his campaign site -- joinrudy2008.com.

His "facts" are crap! Three-quarters of the people in this country DO NOT support infanticide. Maybe three-quarters of you Rudyites and your liberal ilk do, but most Americans don't. And none of this matters because REAL CONSERVATIVES are pro-life.

Rudy enthusiastically supported Bill Clinton's assault weapons ban. That applied to the entire nation.

Before that, Ronald Reagan supported an assault weapons ban.

In California.

You have your own *ignore* function which you are free to use. Perhaps you would like the Fred Thomson threads? There are a lot of those!

Bleh, don't remind me.

Wasn't born back then, but I'll be backing the candidate who has a proven Pro-2nd Amendment. I'm tired of politicians - even conservative ones - treating "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" as "MIGHT BE INFRINGED FOR CERTAIN PURPOSES."

I totally agree. This country is neither ultra liberal nor ultra conservative and American's will vote for a moderate Republican in large numbers, IMO. A hard core conservative who is against what the mainstream of America is FOR, will not win.

These are unique times that we live in. The voters do not like the polarization and hatred that the far left and the far right encourage. 2008 will be an election about ideas first and about whoever can appeal to the 47% of independents out there.

READ MY LIPS!!! IF you can read! I am pro-life and have fought against partial birth abortion for the past 10 years. I am voting for a man who said he would nominate strict conservative "constructionist" judges like Scalia and Thomas. We won't get that opportunity to end abortion if a Dem is in the White House or is we nominate a LOSER!!!

lol! I thought we all had our "ignore" function too. Just stay away from people you disagree with or who are very "disagreeable." Piece of cake.

You are free to tell yourself what a *real conservative* is in your belief system. Others will disagree. Hope you find someone who you can get behind.

Rudyits are all staunch and experienced fighters against abortion. Makes you wonder why they support someone that is all for it.

But, of course. Only Rudy can win. He will save us from the Hildebeast.

They need not spend anymore of their time on here trying to sell a sows ear. They have all those independents and RATs they can sell Rudys virtues to.

I really wish FR would add an ignore function. All these Rudy cheerleaders make finding any thoughful discussion of the GOP nomination quite tedious. Of course, that's their intent.

Instead of wishing for what you don't have why not just avoid threads that are obviously pro-Rudy? It's really that simple. The intent of Rudy supporters is to dicuss their candidate, however I question the intent of you and those of the same mentality... you know the type without a candidate, but complains incessantly about those who do.

You're also voting for a man who said abortion should be on demand (including infanticide) and that the tax payers should foot the bill..

Rudy Giuliani has said many times he will NOT push a pro-abortion agenda. He does not like abortion but thinks a woman has a right to choose. He has said partial birth abortion should ONLY be performed to save the life of the mother.

READ MY LIPS!!! IF you can read!

You know, there is a little reminder before you post something that reads, "NO personal attacks." I am not aware of any post where I (or anyone else for that matter) have implied that you were illiterate, so I think this is rather uncalled for.

I am pro-life and have fought against partial birth abortion for the past 10 years.

I'm not disputing that, BUT THIS ISN'T RUDY'S POSITION.

I am voting for a man who said he would nominate strict conservative "constructionist" judges like Scalia and Thomas.

I remember less than twenty years ago voting for a man (who I believe A LOT more that I believe Rudy) who said, "Read my lips, no new taxes." And I think we all remember how that turned out.

We won't get that opportunity to end abortion if a Dem is in the White House or is [if you going to insinuate that I might be unable to read, it would behoove you to at least proof-read what you are posting] we nominate a LOSER!!!

Guess what, if we nominate a pro-abortion candidate who DESTROYS the Republican Party, we are in even worse shape. And that is what will happen if we nominate Rudy.

I'm hoping some of these unhappy folks can find someone they support and get enthused about them. Being angry and disagreeable isn't going to move them closer to what they want(s).
