The Gaza Liaison Administration transferred two float water pumps through the Karni cargo crossing into the Gaza Strip on Wednesday morning to assist the Palestinians in pumping waste water that flooded a village near Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza.
The pumps were supplied by Mekorot, the national water company.
- At least six dead in flooding from Gaza sewage breach
The administration, under the command of Col. Nir Press, was also conducting talks with the World Bank, which built the waste water pool that overflowed on Tuesday, as well as with the Israeli water commission, to come up with immediate long-term solutions to prevent an ecological disaster in the Gaza Strip.
On Tuesday, Press met with officials from the World Bank to decide which raw materials needed to be immediately transferred through Karni into Gaza.
The administration was also facilitating the transfer of a 23-year-old resident of Beit Lahiya who was injured during the flooding to Tel Hashomer Hospital near Tel Aviv.
At least six people were killed in the disaster, and dozens more were injured.

jeez, ya can't even make up a story like this...the haters of Israel swept away in a wave of sh#t....bwahahahahahahaha....
they are so frickin ignorant that they destroyed a manufacturing plant that liberal Israelis left behind to sell the wire for scrap and now they can't even figure out how to keep their waste from killing them...
this is what the entire middle east would be like without Western technology....
Let's see how long it takes them to blame Bush and the Jews.... about 30 seconds..

I only see and enemy as damaged. I have no sympathy.
And I am very angry at the compassion and help offered by my fellow Jews and Israel- whom they are determined to destroy. Why aren't the injured in Egyptian hospitals? Or Allah forbid, soiling the sheets at a hospital in Saudi Arabia?
"He who is kind to the cruel will be cruel to the kind"Israelis shouldn't do anything for these monsters. They elected Hamas and the crazies at Hamas want to make Jerusalem capital of a new Muslim Caliphate. The Hamas leaders also stated that Islam must conquer the entire planet. They have world ambitions beyond destroying Israel.
Muslims are in Jihad mode today and for the next few decades. Infidels shouldn't do a damn thing to help them. They don't appreciate charity from infidels anyhow. To them it shows the infidel is stupid and weak.

How many billions of dollars have we given to these wretched people, and they still can't even corral their own sewage? Oh, wait a minute, never mind... that money already went into Swiss banks for their "leaders" palatial lifestyles and to buy guns to kill their neighbors. Let's send some more billions and solve their problem!

Churchill 1921 Left to themselves, the Arabs of Palestine would not in a thousand years have taken effective steps towards the irrigation and electrification of Palestine. They would have been quite content to dwella handful of philosophic peoplein wasted sun-drenched plains, letting the waters of the Jordan flow unbridled and unharnessed into the Dead Sea."

Interesting, I never heard of the molasses flood. Sticky situation but still better than wading through terrorist crap, lol. Why can't we have a Heineken dark beer flood in my area?

I'd never heard of it. I noticed this from the article on the molasses flood of 1919:
Local residents brought a class-action lawsuit against the United States Industrial Alcohol Company. It ultimately paid out $600,000 in out-of-court settlements (at least $6.6 million in 2005 dollars)
The cause of the accident is not known with certainty; though at the time authorities were quick to blame bomb throwing anti-war anarchists.
It looks like some things haven't changed much in almost 90 years!
