Dear Father, we lift up our brother in Christ, President Bush at this hour, knowing that he faces the unthinkable…….the betrayal of our Congress of the troops in battle and a call for defeat against terrorism. Lord, we confess that we are frustrated and angry that those who have been chosen to represent us in the halls of Congress would be so hardened against those who have been called to defend us. Lord, we pray for Your divine wisdom and courage for President Bush as he stands strong in defense of this nation. Grant him peace in knowing that he must do all in his power to protect and support our troops and to equip them to complete the mission in Afghanistan and Iraq. We pray for Your protection and blessing on his life and ask that he would always be mindful that he is Your servant, and that he has been called to serve You first and foremost and to live in obedience to You. Keep him deep in Your word and steadfast in prayer and give him Your guidance in each decision he must make.
And Father, as we pray for our Commander in Chief, we also pray for our troops, and ask that they would not become discouraged by the betrayal of the Congress, but would instead use it as a catalyst to fight even more courageously to achieve victory against an evil foe. Grant them Your divine protection as they seek out and destroy the enemy, and help them to feel Your presence in their lives. We continue to pray for the people of Iraq, that the Name of Jesus Christ might be lifted up in freedom. We pray that any impediment to the spread of the Gospel in that land would be torn down and that Your Name would be glorified there, as it someday will be in all the earth.
Dear Lord, we especially lift up to You our brother and Your child, Tony Snow, as he faces this grave news of spreading cancer. Lord, we acknowledge that You are the Great Physician, and we ask for a miracle in his body that this evil disease would be wiped out and that he would be restored to full health. We pray for his family, and for the doctors as they determine which course to take, and we thank You in advance for the answers to our prayers.
Lord, we are on bended knee for this nation, and pray that You would forgive us for how far short we have fallen of Your Glory. Cleanse us and renew us we pray, and prod each of Your children to a new, fresh spirit of prayer and consecration to obedience to Your divine will. We thank You for the freedom we enjoy, and ask that we might never take those freedoms for granted, and we know that true freedom can come only through a saving knowledge of Your Son, Jesus Christ, in whose Name we pray, Amen!
Please join us in prayer for our President, our troops and our nation, with a special prayer today for our dear friend and fellow freeper, Tony Snow!
Father, please keep Your servant, our President, safe and in good spirits in these dark days. We pray for Tony Snow and his family as he faces cancer. You can heal him if You will. We pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

May the Lord God watch over and guide our President and his friend and helper Tony Snow and protect and keep their families safe from harm, while bringing them ever closer to him.

A lot of bad news today. It is a day that needs prayer.
Amen to your prayers. Father, we have been discouraged and dismayed today because of Congress's decision. Lord, we commit this whole matter to You, trusting to Your wisdom and the great love You have for us. We pray especially for Tony Snow and Fishhound's brother Bobby, that You would heal them and uphold them and their families in Your love. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
