My daughter is a cadet at the Air Force Academy......They all voluntarily donate blood for the troops on a regular basis....
However, a month ago the administration put through an unusual request for bone marrow donor volunteers.....she went through the testing and was a match for an 8 year old girl somewhere in the mid-west....
After Spring Break, she goes in for the procedure. From what she has been told the procedure is mildly painful but she believes it's worth it.
Your daughter is an angel.
Just dang. I am in awe of your daughter. That is really selfless of her. Kudos to you for raising such a fine person! :)
Gold bless your daughter. What a wonderful daughter you must have. Prayers for both your daughter & the little girl...~Pandora~
God bless your Daughter. She sounds like a special young woman.
My younger brother was just diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Not in his organs, but it is in his bone marrow. He working on his first round of chemo.
If and when the time comes that a bone marrow transplant is an option both myself and my sister have already told him he doesn't even need to ask.
Seriously, I cannot imagine not doing whatever you could to help.
Your daughter sounds wonderful. I will say a little prayer that all goes well for both her and the recipient.
