A fawning mainstream media
Where Eagles dare, pacifists doctor and dupe
By Judi McLeod

My friend Jackie Gordon, who exposes anti-war ANSWER for their lies on the Internet, wants to know about pictures posted on their website that appear to be doctored.
As we all know by now, the ragtag, loose knit and lovable vets called The Gathering of Eagles changed history in Washington D.C. on March 17. Traveling in great numbers from far distances, they outnumbered ANSWER three to one--but a fawning mainstream media failed to report the facts, as usual taking the side of ANSWER.
Well, Jackie it is not the "doctored" that so much matters to me but the "duped".
In pictures from anti-war protests of late, I'm seeing more women turning out in burqas. I can't say for certain whether they are actually the women of the enemy, or university students who callously don the dress of the enemy in an effort to get straight to the heart of anyone who has a daughter or son fighting for freedom in harm's way. Has anyone noticed how the so-called "9/11 truthers" keep showing up at anti-war protests?......

I will say this...I was there, and outside the Lincoln Memorial, it was at least even and I thought we had more.
However, they had all of their people at one location, and the Gathering of Eagles had their people at multiple locations. I know they were definitely outnumbered, positively as much as two to one from what I personally saw, and taking into account what I didn't see, three to one is likely.
I dont recognize those hills and radio towers at all, is that even DC?
But .. if you look to the left, what is that building with the four posts .. is it the WH? But .. I don't recall seeing all those regular houses near the WH. And .. right above that building is a really tall building - the Washington monument? Weird - definitely New England .. because of the bare trees.
Also .. this picture does not have as many AMERICAN FLAGS as the other picture .. I can only see 3 in this one.
These people love to lie to suit their agenda so nothing they do surprises me.
C'mon Race, you live here...right? ;)
Oh, definitely. *snicker*
Well .. it might have been Oklahoma .. which also looks about the same .. but the church buildings are very different.
...or it might have been DC...
Everybody here wants to be the next Buckhead.
Well .. I was pretty sure it was DC - guess you can't read!
I read post 25.
You: Weird - definitely New England .. because of the bare trees.
Do you deny writing that? Did ANSWER write it, with your name at the bottom?
What's your problem with what I said ..??
Well...it was incorrect. And, it is not you personally, it is this rush to call everything fake and acting crazy about it. The pic is quite obviously DC and now folks are saying it isn't.
You know that the media and wackos read what we post. Why give them ammo?

What an outstanding day! The Eagles soared! You should be very proud of your fellow veterans, families, and supporters. Theres so much to tell, and we encourage you to post your experiences in the the comments.
In the meantime, two items of business: 1) we have a gallery open for you to upload your digital photos to the website. That way you can share your photos with others. See the tab in the top right corner of the site. 2) the first unofficial estimate of the Eagle turn-out today
30,000!
That figure may be adjusted upward as more figure are tallied during the week. Fox News reported today that the anti-war protesters had significantly less than they expected. However, they are erroneously reporting that the Eagles were there in equal numbers. The truth is that we outnumbered them by at least three to one! Consider
ANSWER had a year to plan their well-publicized event and were hoping for around 100,000. They actually drew about 5,000-10,000, according to various news reports today. The Gathering of Eagles, on the other hand, had about six weeks to plan an unprecedented response - and with no advertising, no publicity, no celebrity or political endorsement, no news coverage, and no big money, we had about 30,000 boots on the ground! The volunteers poured themselves into this historic event, and all of you who attended gave so much to be there. Ill stop here and let your words speak for themselves. -H.
Are you backing off of post 10?:
U S Park Service Count--not GOE, not A N S W E R.
The Park Service doesn't do crowd estimates and THIS is a GOE estimate. I'll gladly buy the notion that we had more folks there, so there's no reason to misrepresent (by trying to add Park Service credibility) or inflate numbers.
No way is that the White House, from any angle...
I think the picture might be real, but certainly isn't from March 17th! Nor does it show hordes like they claim.
huh?
I got my information on the numbers from someone who just got a phone call from the Park Department.
The Park Department called the GOE rally leaders and told them the number 30,000 applied to GOE. He told it to me.

Check this, Nick Danger showed us speculators up!
Who did the estimate?
The Park Service called Larry Baily, Larry Baily told me and I announced it at the dinner we had later.
