The article discusses the problems of Muslim activism and how they are trying to impose their will on non-Muslims. For example, "Some Muslim cashiers at Twin Cities Target stores have begun refusing to scan pork products, like bacon and pepperoni pizza, and insisting that other cashiers or the customers themselves do it."

Of course, these actions have nothing to do with Islam per se. The author notes that, "Ahmed Samatar, a recognized expert on Somali society at Macalester College in St. Paul notes that 'There is a general Islamic prohibition against drinking, but carrying alcohol for people in commercial enterprise has never been forbidden.' Similarly, Islam prohibits consuming pork, but not touching or scanning it, according to Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf of the American Society for Muslim Advancement in New York. It is, or should be, 'a nonissue.' "

The real cause lies with Muslim leaders who are jocking to assume more power by assuming ever more radical stances in the name of their religion.

The puppetmaster mullahs remain the core problem of islam, not the brainwashed lemmings that willingly kill themselves while butchering others.

"Troubling incidents began several years ago, when taxi drivers at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport--about three-quarters of whom are Muslim--started refusing to transport passengers carrying alcohol. One woman, returning from France with wine, was turned away by five cabs in succession. Refusals of service now number about 100 a month, and heated altercations have erupted"

So where are the lawsuits? No mention of any legal action against those who attempt to impose their way of life on the public at large. Why is that? Are there really no lawsuits, or are they just not mentioned? I smell big money to be made here in combating the religion of filth.

I'm still not sure who's worse. People who demand the majority give in to their ridiculous demands or those who cave in to them.

The real cause lies with...

...our immigration laws. We are purposely importing this menace.

Columnist Kersten, the Star Tribune's only conservative editorial voice, posts regularly on a blog that's probably the best-read feature in the Strib. Her posts always draw many comments.

This quote from the article needs highlighting. I was unaware of this legislation, but not suprised by it's existence.

"In Washington, the Democratic leadership is likely to seek passage of the End Racial Profiling Act, of which House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called herself, in 2004, a "proud" cosponsor. Both MAS and CAIR are stumping for the bill, which would bar airport security personnel from disproportionately questioning Muslims or people of Middle Eastern descent."

So when does "disproportionately" become not at all?

Minnesota is as liberal as Massachusetts. They created their Frankenstein; deal with it.

Hold the phone, Jack. You are asking me to acknowledge your religion.

Not likely...

They screwed up their countries so badly they had to leave, and now they're here trying to screw up ours, and we're allowing them to do it. If they want to live like that, we should make them return to their ancestral hell holes.

I have to go to Minneapolis this summer. I wonder what will happen when I request a non-Muslim cabbie?

The solution is economic - let the non-muslim cab drivers put a "We do not discriminate" sign on their taxis, and all the non-muslims (95% of passengers) take those taxis, and starve out the muslim drivers. Similary at check out lines: Put "no pork" check out line(1)and "all products" check out line(9 or more) - since the muslims can only work that no pork line and not the other, we'll quickly root out most of the muslim store employees.

They should have gone with the 2 toplight colors. Then the rest of us would know which cabs to boycott.

What will happen when the Islamic cabbies realize that alcohol(ethanol and methanol) is regularly used in things like windshield wiper fluid, in products designed to clean fuel injectors, and--gasp--placed in gasoline blends! Will there be riots in the Taxi lines? And mouthwash!

Guard your path, Muslims, and return home! Temptation and damnation wait in every dark corner of American life!

The militant Islamist Camel's nose is already in the tent -- these "incidents" like the flying Imams, the cashiers who loath to handle pork and the cabbies who refuse to carry seeing eye dogs or alchohol --- are simply trying to see how far into the tent they can push their camel's ass.

It incremental intrusion....slowly boiling the frog..

The line must be drawn...
Muslim's religious rights stop at their Mosque's door...and ALL the laws of our land must be obeyed..

If this is unacceptable, they can take their camel and their ass back to the Turd World from wince they came..

These people should never have been allowed to immigrate here under any circumstances. Islam isn't the problem, a genocidal self-loathing inculcated by the mass media is the problem. Gutless conservatives and greedy businessmen who form the first line of defense for the leftist establishment that is destroying America are the problem. In a few years these Muslims will be 5 or 10% of the population of Minnesota (or America) and they won't be asking for anything, they'll be demanding it.
