We just don't know the reasons why the Iranians seized the crew. I am sure the UK is learning why through their diplomatic contacts with the Iranians. Once we know their demands, we can decide on how we want to proceed.

Brit will never let a factual error slide. He's all about quality.

He corrects data whenever an error comes up.

I never doubted why the MSM was so insane over the NSA program. They were terrified the Administration was tracking their calls and listening to THEM as they planand plot their destruction of any and all Republicans.

I view the DBM and the Dhimmicrats as interchangeable co-conspirators.  I would point out that they, collectively, did illegally tap into the private strategy phone calls of the Republican leaders of the House and use it as an attack on Newt Gingrich, part of an organized conspiracy  to thwart the Constitutional operation of the elected leaders of the legislature.

In short, treason and an attempted coup, pure and simple.

But they ignored that little crime and brushed it off as "just politics."

To Dhimmicrats their committing crimes is politics as usual and Republicans acting legally in their own political interest is a crime that must be prosecuted and must be used to destroy people.

Instant gratification in the heat of the moment is not always the best solution. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

Dear Senator Hagel,

Please look up the term "Constitutional Republic". Like most of your perpetually childish generation, you seem to mistake our form of Government for a Direct Democracy.

The President IS doing the will of the people. That why we elected him. What he is NOT doing is the will of Chuck Hagel. And that is REALLY what you are in hysterics about. Too bad for you we elected him, and NOT you, to represent us as President in 2004.

So crawl back in your hole of total irrelevance now Senator Silly Bugger or I shall taunt you a 2nd time.

On the Iran thing?

Unfortunately, this thing was waiting to happen, and the UK is unprepared for what is necessary, due to their savaging of Tony Blair. Blair has no teeth, and this is HIS fight, with respect to his soldiers.

Now, a US rescue mission would be a great wound healer, but the resulting death of any of the hostages would make matters worse. The US is blamed either way.

Here is what is going to happen: We will wait a period of time, while through back channels, warnings will be issued much line what you mentioned about a press conference. Iran will attempt a face-saving measure, release video of the 'confessions' then release the troops as a show of 'peaceful understanding'.

Bush should not let this happen, we should attack the bastards TONIGHT. But, we wont.

I read this last night and it only made things more confusing for me. If the Iranians want to avoid sanctions why kidnap the Britts,it leaves you wondering what the hell they actually want and it looks like a response from us.
There was one argument broached at the strata link that inferred that they were running out of suicide bombers and if we attacked in any manner it might get them more volunteers but what convoluted logic, confusing at best.

I thinkMNJ has the best solution, you can' ignore an action like that.

CNN is the only channel that has a conservative on it. I hate when the conservative point of view is defended by the most liberal republicans.

It's true that we don't know. It's also true that it's different now than it was in 2004. And we know more about what specific activities the Iranians are involved in within Iraq's borders.

It's helpful to watch what's going on in Iran internally. Because it's reasonable that the true intentions or wants of the Iranians may not be stated in these negotiations.

Ahmadinejad has stated openly that he doesn't respect the West and he belittled the "processes" of diplomacy. This doesn't mean that he doesn't know how to use the tools of the West against us. There may be a specific request in these negotiations with an intent to divert attention from the underlying issue.

He's not in good shape at home or in Iraq and these are important notes to keep in mind.

But for his father's name, he would have been fired.

He ought to be. I hope Ailes is keeping an eye on him. This morning he implied that those who have done 2 or 3 tours in Iraq just might welcome the dems firm date for withdrawal.

You will never regret your decision.

You will only thank goodness for it, in the future.

The point is that it is the nation of Iran

Which is an act of war and should be addressed as such. Funny thing, NO one messes with the Russians in the ME. Why? Because the one time they did, the Russians went directly after the leadership of the groups that did it and did not play silly Diplomatic games or waste time on front groups Resolving this diplomatically would be an utter disaster.

Failure to respond forcefully to this will indicate there are NO international standards or rules that cannot be flouted at will by rouge states. Diplomacy unbacked by a credible threat of force is simply wasted air. Here is a case where the use of Military force is not only useful, it is absolutely vital.

I cannot understand why the US Attorney in Staten Island NY was not furloughed for her failure to nail Chuckie Schumer's wife Iris Weinshall for the Staten Island Ferry disaster. The investigators sure named her as partly responsible and yet she got off with a tongue lashing because she is Mrs Chuckles Schumer. It was probably a well connected Rat US Attorney and 11 people died and scores were seriously injured and maimed and she gets off scott free. You never heard Chuckles say word one about the disaster, the fix was in for Iris Weinshall and now she is leaving The NY DOT next Month for an even more cushy job. She cared more about the cleanliness of the restrooms than the Safety of the Passengers, and 11 people died horribly.

Well said, my friend. The ever present double standard. With an honest media, this could not happen, but it does happen all the time. It must therefore follow that the media.....
