The government of Iran has taken responsibility for the act and acknowledges that they have custody of the personnel. Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism, but it is still a nation state. This is much different than if a non-state actor took these sailors hostage. There are policies governing negotiations with terrorists in hostage situations.
Diplomacy is the only answer at this point. The Iranians took them for a reason. Behind the scenes, the UK is learning why from the Iranians. Once that is known, they [and perhaps us] will have to make some decisions on how to proceed. At this point, I don't view this as a major crisis.
Well, there you go!
And it all starts with the DBM, they stake their claim to how we should be,act, react etc. when it comes to dealing with others, their religions, social mores etc.the mistake is to believe anything they say.
Gotcha.
Someone somehow needs to give Fox and FNN a wake-up call.
As Darryl Royal always said, "Dance with the girl who brung you."
Fox became popular because they were fair and now, while they are still the fairest in the land, they seem bent on proving balance to the detriment of the network.
Enough with the hiring liberals. We can see them on every other station.
And Fox News Sunday is losing ground every week with Wallace. A new host is sorely needed.
Not only does Wallace take time from the round table with ego stuff, but he joins in way too much with a liberal take during the round table. He should just be moderating, there are already enough liberals on the panel.
He moght be young enough, but he is already so much in the old news column during this election cycle that he could not sfford to wait 4 or 8 or 12 more years.
It's a sad situation for Elizabeth Edwards, but it does not change my opinion of her husband, nor does it change my impression of his motives.
Chuck Hagel just can't believe that there is not going to be a transcript of Rove and Miers and that they are not going to be under oath.
He and Steffie worked the nontroversy for a good 5 minutes.
If you are tired of hearing there cannot be a military solution in Iraq, don't listen to Hagel.
Steffie says the question is "how do you stop it [the war in Iraq]" He is picking up the action line that Russert and Matthews began right after the election.
Hagel says we are ruining our military by actually having them fight a war in defense of the United States. What then, pray tell, is the military for...parades????
But don't you agree that when an overt act such as kidnapping 15 British sailors in international waters is done, not to respond in-kind, in an area of the world surrounded by terrorists, will be viewed by them as a sign of weakness and thus only encourage more?
It's a great book. I recommend reading the earlier book first, "The Caged Virgin" as it sets the foundation of the rules that Islam establishes.
Although as I said on last week's Thread, I couldn't sleep after reading some scenes.
Oh, dear, I am afraid we have created a monster.
Pukin, fame is fleeting.
You not only need to remember that, but also that it is a great responsibility. Now, you will just have to get funnier and funnier.
It will be expected and eventually become a burden.
(this is not envy talking)
Since the Hummer vs. Prius study, I have been HELL on my tree-hugging neighbors. The other day, my neighbor Larry pulled up into his driveway in his little putt-putt hybrid, while I was washing the H-2, and I yelled "Earth Killer!" at him. I keep copies of the study in the truck to hand out to unsuspecting hippies.
(uh Oh what have we created)
Um, read the tag line, dear.....
Only one warning, then you must send me money or food to get back into my good graces......

Pretty pathetic. Not even pretending to be a "Journalist" anymore.
The dems know that the black voters have no where to go, they have been sufficiently brainwashed to vote Dem rat every time and they do.
It's possible FNC is doing the same thing to us. They may think that we have no where else to go. Surprise is on them! we do have plenty of choices and if they keep up the soap opera BS and their left wing turns we will start drifting away. Many of us already have.
That is hysterical!! So does he still have that Air of Superiority when he drives by in his Pious??
Pray for W and Our Troops
Just kidding, I have money. Food is better.
Yeah, even the best of them are corrput as hell.
